RAID: Shadow Legends – Pythion Fragment Fusion Event Guide
RAID: Shadow Legends, the turn-based RPG by Plarium is quite infamous for releasing new champions at a consistent pace. So far, they have added over 50 champions alone in 2022. Well, it seems they show no signs of stopping as the hero-collector game has added 5 more champions to its ever-growing roster. The good news is that players can get 1 legendary champion completely for free if they manage to reach certain milestones in different events and tournaments. You guessed it right! The fragment Fusion event for Pythion has started. This time, the fragment fusion event for Pythion has already started on 12th January 2023 and it ends on 27th January 2023. A total of 155 Champion Fragments are available to be claimed.
Table of Contents
Pythion is a new legendary grade Force affinity champion from the Lizardmen faction. He is listed in-game as a Support-type champion which means his ability’s damage and damage scaling increase the more HP stat he has. Pythion is looking as one of the best fusion champions that were ever introduced in over 3 years. He has a very similar skill set to Duchess Lilitu, another godly legendary champion that is highly regarded as one of the best. Pythion is the only champion in the game that is able to successfully remove all debuffs from all allies and place a Block Debuffs buff for 2 turns on all allies as well. To top it off, he also heals all allies! His 3rd ability is quite insane in its own right as he can fully revive all dead allies, much like Raglin does but on a higher base cooldown. If that wasn’t enough, his passive allows him to mitigate the damage received by all allies. All in all, he’s a solid Support champion that can help you in many areas of the game such as the Doom Tower, Classic Arena, Tag Team Arena, Dragons Dungeon, Ice Golem Dungeon, and more. We highly recommend players to go for this champion fusion event if they have the resources.
During this Fusion event, Plarium provides Fragments for the champion in multiple Events and Tournaments. Keep in mind that these events and tournaments will take a lot of your time if you’re going to manually play the game since Plarium only provides 30 instances of Auto-Battles per day. But don’t worry, you can easily bypass the hard grinding by simply using BlueStacks macro recorder to record your runs and keep re-running it.
Pythion Skills
Pythion is an HP-based Support champion from the Lizardmen faction. His grade is legendary and we expected his stats to be worth the title. He has a great base stat line with an Attack of 870, HP of 21135, and an Average Speed of 105. His high base HP proves to be great as his skill damage multipliers scale with his MAX HP. We recommend players to build Pythion with Protection, Stoneskin, Untouchable, Immunity, Regeneration, Speed, and Defiant artifact sets with a focus on Speed, HP%, Defense%, and Resistance.
Here is a list of Pythion’s skills: –

Pythion Fusion Event Guide
Pythion can be obtained by participating in the Fragment Fusion event hosted by Plarium which has already started on 12th January 2023. By Fragment fusions, we mean that Pythion needs 100 of his champion fragments to be fused. These fragments can be found in various Events and Tournaments and can be achieved in reaching certain milestones in them. Pretty simple, right? It is simple; however, we will give a detailed guide on how to manage your resources to obtain enough fragments to fuse Pythion.
We will now list the various events and tournaments through which you will be able to obtain these champion fragments.
Here is the list: –

Preparation for these Events and Tournaments
As we can see from the timings of these Events and Tournaments presented by Plarium, many of these coincide with each other. If you are confused by what some of the terms mean or where some of the locations of the dungeons and events are, here is a helpful guide. Now doing every event and tournament 1 by 1 will drain your resources very quickly, and you will be left with insufficient fragments to fuse Pythion. You might need to spend gems to refill energy for completing the remaining events and tournaments.
This is where efficient planning and using your resources judiciously come in. In this guide, we will give you all the essential tips and tricks to help you ease the journey of fusing the legendary champion Pythion. Energy and Silver will be your 2 biggest resources, and if you have enough of these saved up, things will go more smoothly for you. Along with these basic currencies, you will be needing some summoning currencies as well such as Ancient Shards, Void Shards, and Sacred Shards. If you have been smart and saving up your resources, this event will be pretty easy for you to complete. But if you don’t have them stored don’t fret, we are here for you! Take a look at our preparation process for Pythion Fusion here: –
12th January 2023 – 27th January 2023:
- Ice Golem Tournament: 5 Pythion Fragments (Obtained at 2250 Points)
- Champion Training Event: 15 Pythion Fragments (Obtained at 5350/8000 Points each)
Ice Golem tournament requires the players to constantly grind in the Ice Golem dungeon to earn points for the tournament. The number of points received are decided according to the quality and quantity of the artifacts obtained by clearing the Ice Golem dungeon. Players can easily complete this tournament and reach the milestone of 2250 points if they constantly repeat grind Stage 20 of the Ice Golem Dungeon. Stage 20 is considered as the best Stage due to the point per energy spent ratio. Of course, players can also repeat grind Stage 25 for a better chance of obtaining higher-quality Artifacts. It should roughly take 220 runs on Stage 20 of Ice Golem to be able to complete the point requirement for the tournament.
During the course of the tournament, Plarium will be running a Super Raid boost that will give players double the resources per run by consuming double the energy. This is a great way to save some time and effort during Champion Fusion events such as the current one. To enable Super Raids, simply click on the check box before starting a dungeon run.
Champion Training events are quite popular for Plarium to throw at players during these long-term fusion events. These events require the player to upgrade their champions in the Tavern. Players can get tons of points for the event simply by strengthening their champions. The most abundantly used process that also gives the maximum number of points is by leveling up your champions. The higher the level, the more points it will give for the event. Another major way of getting points for the event is by promoting your champions to higher ranks. The higher the rank promotion, the more points you will get toward the event. The third way to get points is by awakening your champions. This is not a recommended way as it gives very few points compared to the other 2 methods. In recent additions, Plarium has also started giving out points for skilling up your champions using skill tomes.
- Champion Chase Tournament: 15 Pythion Fragments (Obtained at 1150/2500 Points each)
The first ever summoning related tournament and is none other than Champion Chase Tournament. For those unfamiliar with the approach for this tournament, you need to basically get champions in short. The better the quality of the champion obtained, the more points you will get toward your tournament. You can get these champions from all sources in the game. Be it from the Market, Shards, Champion Fragments, Event/Tournament rewards, Mailbox, Login rewards, Promo Codes, etc. Luckily, the requirement for the highest milestone (for the champion fragments) is 2500 points, which is relatively the same as the fragment fusion events before. It’s still a lot but doable if you have some resources saved up. Remember, your champions from fragments also give you points. Make sure to use them. Mystery Shards give 1 point per shard summoned.
- Dungeon Divers Event Part 1: 5 Pythion Fragments (Obtained at 3350 Points)
- Artifact Enhancement Event Part 1: 5 Pythion Fragments (Obtained at X Points)
The Dungeon divers event is a relatively easy event to complete as players can double down by doing the ongoing dungeon-related tournament. The Dungeon divers event only asks the players to get artifacts from any source of the game. Be it the campaign stages, dungeon stages, login rewards, market, etc. The best way to save your energy is by completing the Ice Golem tournament during the time this Dungeon divers event is active. This way, players can get points for both the event and the tournament just by farming the Ice Golem dungeon.
Artifact Enhancement event is again very straightforward but can drain a lot of your silver reserves. If you were not prepared, then you might have to spend your precious energy to farm silver coins for upgrading your equipment. Here are a few tips to achieve those points: –
- You can pre-roll your artifacts till Lvl 7/11/15 and then simply spend silver to upgrade to the next level as you get points only after upgrading artifacts to LVL 4,8,12 and 16 with the highest points being given at 6-star LVL 16 artifact upgrades.
- You can level up 3 6-Star artifacts to level 16 to easily complete this event in a go
- Save up to roughly 6 million silver per artifact enhancement event, as this amount is roughly what it takes to complete these events.
However, if you have enough silver or artifacts upgraded to a certain level, then feel free to use them to complete this event. It also takes a lot of time because the general upgrading speed for artifacts is very slow, and it fails many times as well. However, if you use BlueStacks Eco mode, you can significantly speed up this process and save so much time!
- Fire Knight Tournament: 5 Pythion Fragments (Obtained at X Points)
Fire Knight tournament requires the players to constantly grind in the Fire Knight dungeon to earn points for the tournament. The number of points received is decided according to the quality and quantity of the artifacts obtained by clearing the Fire Knight dungeon. Players can easily complete this tournament and reach the milestone of 2250 points if they constantly repeat grind Stage 20 of the Fire Knight Dungeon. Stage 20 is considered the best Stage due to the point per energy spent ratio.
- Champion Training Tournament: 10 Pythion Fragments (Obtained at X Points)
The Champion Training tournament is quite straightforward. The premise of the tournament is the same as the Champion Training event except now it’s in a tournament format where players can compete with each other. The top 3 players on the group leaderboard will get 5 extra Pythion fragments. Our advice for completing this tournament would remain the same – level up champions, promote champions, awaken champions, and skill up their abilities. Here are some additional tips:
- Always remember to level up your chickens before using them to promote your champions.
- Do not waste brews to level up champions who are already at a high level as the efficiency of brews decreases drastically if used on high-level champions.
- Use Mystery shards to generate more fodder if you are out of low-rank champions.
- Dungeon Divers Event Part 2: 5 Pythion Fragments (Obtained at X Points)
- Spider Tournament: 5 Pythion Fragments (Obtained at X Points)
Another great combination of a dungeon-related event and tournament. Players can simply farm the Fire Knights dungeon to get points for both the event as well as the tournament. On the other hand, players can also wait 1 day for the Spider tournament to start. Farming the Spider dungeon will also reap you points for both the tournament as well as the event.
Spider tournament requires the players to constantly grind in the Spider dungeon to earn points for the tournament. The number of points received is decided according to the quality and quantity of the artifacts obtained by clearing the Spider dungeon. Players can easily complete this tournament and reach the milestone of 2250 points if they constantly repeat grind Stage 20 of the Spider Dungeon.
- Artifact Enhancement Event Part 2: 5 Pythion Fragments (Obtained at X Points)
- Summon Rush Event: 20 Pythion Fragments (Obtained at X/X Points)
The 2nd iteration of the Artifact Enhancement event. The event is the same, the rules remain the same. Upgrade your artifacts using your Silver resources to get points toward the event. By this time, you should have tons of silver by farming the different dungeons. If not, then this might be the perfect time for you to sell your useless artifacts as they give tons of Silver.
Summon Rush event is very straightforward, the more you summon the more points you get. The quality of shards also hampers the number of points you get. The quality of champions, however, does not affect the number of points obtained in this event. Here are the points received depending on the shard: –
Mystery Shard: 1 Point
Ancient Shard: 20 Points
Void Shard: 100 Points
Sacred Shard: 500 Points
- Classic Arena Takedown Tournament Part 2: 5 Pythion Fragments (Obtained at X Points)
The 2nd iteration of the Classic Arena Takedown tournament. It’s quite simple and easy to complete, just like the previous one. The point milestone is likely to remain the same as the 1st one as well to get 5 Pythion fragments.
- Dragon Tournament: 5 Pythion Fragments (Obtained at X Points)
- Artifact Enhancement Event Part 3: 5 Pythion Fragments (Obtained at X Points)
Dragon tournament requires the players to constantly grind in the Dragon dungeon to earn points for the tournament. The amount of points received is decided according to the quality and quantity of the artifacts obtained by clearing the Dragon dungeon. Players can easily complete this tournament and reach the milestone of 2250 points if they constantly repeat grind Stage 20 of the Dragon Dungeon. Stage 20 is considered the best Stage due to the point per energy spent ratio.
These are the last events and tournaments to complete the fusion event and players can further fuse Pythion by going to the summon screen -> Champion Fragments.
