RAID: Shadow Legends - Vlad the Nightborn Fragment Fusion Guide
A new legendary champion Vlad the Nightborn is up for grabs in this newest fragment fusion event of RAID: Shadow Legends. Vlad the Nightborn is a legendary void affinity Attack type champion from the Undead Hordes faction that is going to be available for fusion during the Fragment fusion event starting from 28th October 2021 and lasts till 14th November 2021. Vlad the Nightborn is a special limited-time fragment fusion for the spooky occasion of Halloween. His champion design follows the theme of blood-sucking vampires. This will be an in-depth guide on the various ways available for players to obtain fragments to complete this fusion.
Vlad the Nightborn is a Void Affinity Legendary Champion from the Undead Hordes Faction. He has a decent skill set and is an Attack Type Champion. We are calling it decent because of his sheer underwhelming abilities that feel and play like a void epic instead of a void legendary. Vlad’s kit enables him and his allies in the team to lifesteal from enemies by utilizing the Leech debuff that he can place for 2 turns on all enemies with his 2nd ability Exsanguinate. This ability is on a 3 turn cooldown after being booked so it’s useful in PvE and/or PvP content. He is a champion that can decrease MAX HP of the targets by 30% of the damage he hit while also life-stealing 30% of the damage he does with his 1st ability Thirsting Blade. This is a single targeted ability that can be useful for the Scarab boss in the Doom Tower. His passive Notorious grants him a Revive on Death buff for 2 turns whenever Vlad kills an enemy champion. This passive can also fully heal Vlad and fill his turn-meter by 50% if Konstantin the Dayborn is in your team. Konstantin the Dayborn is another void affinity legendary grade champion that is releasing alongside Vlad, being his brother in-game lore. He synergizes with Vlad due to their shared passives.
During this Fusion event, Plarium provides Fragments for the champion in multiple Events and Tournaments. Keep in mind that these events and tournaments will take a lot of your time if you’re going to manually play the game since Plarium only provides 30 instances of Auto-Battles per day. But don’t worry, you can easily bypass the hard grinding by simply using BlueStacks Macro Recorder to record your runs and keep re-running it.
Vlad the Nightborn Champion Skills
Vlad the Nightborn is an Attack-based Attack type champion from the Undead Hordes Faction. Being a Legendary Tier champion, his base stats are pretty solid at a base Attack of 1443 and Base Defense of 1134. Vlad the Nightborn is a great damage dealer that can enable all your allies to have an in-built lifesteal without using the artifact set by applying Leech debuff on all enemies for 2 turns with his 2nd skill Exsanguinate. Vlad also is a great pick in the Doom Tower, especially against the Scarab King boss due to his decrease MAX HP with his 1st skill Thirsting Blade. Vlad’s passive ability Notorious states that whenever he kills an enemy champion, he will get a Revive on death buff for 2 turns.
If he is paired with Konstantin the Dayborn, this passive will also fully heal him and increase his turn meter by 50% whenever he kills an enemy which is outrageous in PvP. His 3rd ability Mind Shroud is a single targeted damaging ability that hits the target 2 times, with the 1st hit having a 75% chance of inflicting a decreased defense debuff for 2 turns and the 2nd hit having a 75% chance of inflicting a Block active skills debuff for 2 turns. If both of the debuffs are placed from both the hits, then this skill will grant Vlad a Perfect veil buff for 2 turns. His 2nd ability Exsanguinate states that he inflicts a Leech debuff for 2 turns on all enemies with 75%. This skill also has a 75% chance to steal 50% turn meter from enemies of certain factions (Banner Lords, Sacred Order, High elves) and a 75% chance to decrease turn meter by 50% of enemies from the remaining factions. Overall, we feel Vlad the Nightborn is the solid champion but his skills feel underwhelming than what is expected of a void legendary champion. He relies on Konstantin the Dayborn, another void affinity legendary for his passive to be great. We recommend players to build Vlad the Nightborn with Perception, Speed, and Savage artifact sets with a focus on Accuracy, Speed, Critical Hit Damage, Critical Hit Rate, and Speed as stats.

Preparation for These Events and Tournaments
As we can see from the timings of these Events and Tournaments presented by Plarium that many of these collide with each other. If you are confused by what some of the terms mean or where some of the locations of the dungeons and events are, here is a helpful guide Now doing every event and tournament 1 by 1 will drain your resources very quickly, and you will be left with insufficient fragments to fuse Vlad the Nightborn. You might need to spend gems to refill energy for completing the remaining events and tournaments.
This is where efficient planning and using your resources judiciously comes in. In this guide, we will give you all the essential tips and tricks to help you in your journey of fusing the legendary champion Vlad the Nightborn. Energy and Silver will be your 2 biggest resources, and if you have enough of these saved up, things will go more smoothly for you. But if you don’t have them stored don’t fret, we are here for you! Take a look at our preparation process for Yoshi Fragment Fusion here:-
28th October – 14th November
- Spider Tournament: 5 Vlad the Nightborn Fragments (Obtained at 1800 Points)
- Dungeon Divers Event Part 1: 5 Vlad the Nightborn Fragments (Obtained at 2500 Points)
For Spider Tournament, the tournament is simple as you can achieve the milestone of 1800 points by doing 113-114 runs of Stage 20 in the Spiders Dungeon which will cost you around 1800-1820 energy. We recommend doing Stage 20 instead of Stage 25 in these tournaments related to farming dungeons because of the efficiency per energy used purpose.
Dungeon Divers event are usually all about farming the Dungeons – Spider’s Den, Ice Golem, Fire Knight, Dragon’s, Potion Keeps, or Minotaurs Labyrinth. For this dungeon divers event, we recommend farming Spiders Den Stage 20 as this event will be running alongside the Spiders Tournament, hence, you can get points for both the event and tournament by farming Spiders Den dungeon. The target of 2500 is easily achievable in the given timeframe of 3 days. Completing both of these events and tournaments will net you 10 total Vlad the Nightborn champion fragments. Let’s see where to get the rest of the 90 from.
- Champion Chase Tournament: 20 Vlad the Nightborn Fragments (Obtained at 1150/2500 Points each)
A champion chase tournament can put a big hole in your resource pocket, and you should not go for it if you have already completed the summon rush event. There is a confirmation of 2X Voids summoning event during the duration of this champion chase tournament but we highly recommend not burning your shards unless you have saved up massive amounts that can guarantee you the 20 fragments. We, instead recommend you to go to the 1st milestone of 1150 points if possible and use the rest of your shards during the Summon Rush event. This is because champion chase tournaments only reward you with points depending on the quality of champion summoned instead of the quality of shard used. Hence, they are more susceptible to RNG. We highly recommend skipping this tournament unless having an abundance of shards to summon.
- Artifact Enhancement Event Part 1: 5 Vlad the Nightborn Fragments (Obtained at 2625 Points)
This event is again very straightforward but can drain a lot of your silver reserves. If you were not prepared, then you might have to spend your precious energy to farm silver coins for upgrading your equipment. Here are a few tips to achieve those 2625 points: –
- You can pre-roll your artifacts till Lvl 7/11/15 and then simply spend silver to upgrade to the next level as you get points only after upgrading artifacts to LVL 4,8,12 and 16 with the highest points being given at 6-star LVL 16 artifact upgrade.
- You can level up 3 6-Star artifacts to level 16 to easily complete this event in a go
- Save up to roughly 6 million silver per artifact enhancement event, as this amount is roughly what it takes to complete these events.
However, if you have enough silver or artifacts upgraded to a certain level, then feel free to use it to complete this event. It also takes a lot of time because the general upgrading speed for artifacts is very slow, and it fails many times as well. However, if you use BlueStacks Eco Mode, you can significantly speed up this process and save so much time!
- Champion Training Tournament: 5 Vlad the Nightborn Fragments (Obtained at 4100 Points)
For champion training tournaments, make sure to have lots of resources like potions, fodder for ranking up champions as well as energy/brews for leveling up champions. This event is extremely grindy and can take a lot of time if you were not prepared beforehand. Champion Training tournament can be completed by farming the campaign mode! It will also help you in completing the Dungeon diver’s event which will be coming in the next 2 days. Champion leveling, promotion, and ascension all count towards points for the champion training tournament. If you have some brews saved up, this is the perfect time to use them to level up your champions. We recommend to farm food and 6-Star some of the champions that you have been wanting to kill 2 birds with 1 stone.
- Dragon Tournament: 5 Vlad the Nightborn Fragments (Obtained at X Points)
This tournament asks you to spend energy and farm Dragons dungeon. This tournament can be easily completed if you have the energy saved up and if you can farm Dragons Stage 20. We don’t have the information as to how many points are required for getting the 5 fragments but we have an estimate of about 1800 points as we are seeing the tradition in this fusion event till now for dungeon-related tournaments. This dragon tournament will be coinciding with the Dungeon divers event part 2 which will be starting the next day on 2nd November. Players can easily farm dragons stage 20 to get points for both the event and the tournament.
- Dungeon Divers Event Part 2: 5 Vlad the Nightborn Fragments (Obtained at X Points)
Dungeon Divers event is all about farming the Dungeons as we already have mentioned previously. We do not know the point milestone but we recommend farming the Dragons dungeon as this event will clash with the Dragon’s tournament. By farming Dragons, you can get points for both the event as well as the tournament.
- Classic Arena Takedown Tournament Part 1: 5 Vlad the Nightborn Fragments (Obtained at X Points)
- Champion Training Event Part 1: 10 Vlad the Nightborn Fragments (Obtained at X/X Points)
Classic Arena Takedown is just about winning in the Arena. You will get points per win according to the tier you are currently fighting in the Arena. For example, in Bronze 1 you will get 1 point per win and in Silver 1, you will get 4 points per win in the tournament. The point threshold will also change if you are in the lower leagues so do not worry. Make sure to use all your Arena tokens as well as the daily refreshes from the quests and playtime rewards.
Champion training event gets the same advice as before. It’s all about leveling, promoting, and ascending your owned champions. If you have a lot of fodder saved up or summoned, then this will be a breeze for you. We don’t know the point requirement but we feel it will be an easily achievable one.
- Summon Rush Event: 20 Vlad the Nightborn Fragments (Obtained at X/X Points)
Summon Rush event is very straightforward, the more you summon the more points you get. The quality of shards also hampers the number of points you get. The quality of champions, however, does not affect the number of points obtained in this event. Here are the points received depending on the shard: –
Mystery Shard: 1 Point
Ancient Shard: 20 Points
Void Shard: 100 Points
Sacred Shard: 500 Points
We recommend going for at least the first milestone for 5 fragments because the total number of fragments available is 120. You can extend till the 2nd milestone depending on how many shards you have. If you did not spend any in the champion chase tournament, then this 2nd milestone should be doable depending on the point milestone. Keep in mind that this Summon rush will be clashing with the 10X Boost up the event so it might be worth summoning if you like any of the champions available during the 10X.
- Fire Knight Tournament: 5 Vlad the Nightborn Fragments (Obtained at X Points)
- Artifact Enhancement Event Part 2: 5 Vlad the Nightborn Fragments (Obtained at X Points)
Fire Knights tournament is easily completed by farming the Fire Knights dungeon stage 20. Keep in mind that the dungeon divers event starts after the Fire Knights tournament ends so you will have to be energy efficient for farming the Fire Knights. Spend your gems if needed to recover energy. Artifact enhancement event is the same as usual. Players should have collected more amounts of silver during the previous tournaments by farming the various stages. This should help in easily enhancing your gear and getting those juicy points for 5 more fragments of Vlad the Nightborn.
- Dungeon Divers Event Part 3: 10 Vlad the Nightborn Fragments (Obtained at X Points)
- Ice Golem Tournament: 5 Vlad the Nightborn Fragments (Obtained at X Points)
Ice Golem tournament requires you to farm the Ice Golem dungeon at the highest stage possible. We do not know the exact number of points required but we can assume the milestone could be well below 2000 points and hence, we need to save up at least 2000 energy during the 3 days we get to complete this tournament if you can farm at Stage 20 of Ice Golem. Use gems if you do not have the energy required. Dungeon divers event part 3 is the 3rd iteration of these types of events. Players can easily get points for both the event and tournament by just farming the Ice Golem dungeon at Stage 20. The point requirement for Dungeon divers might be a bit higher than the Ice Golem tournament, so farm other dungeons or campaigns to cover for the rest of the points.
- Artifact Enhancement Event Part 3: 5 Vlad the Nightborn Fragments (Obtained at X Points)
This is the last event for Vlad the Nightborn fragment fusion as well as the 3rd iteration of Artifact Enhancement. This event could be skippable if you already have 100 fragments for Vlad but if not then complete it by spending your silver to upgrade gear.
