Summoners War: Chronicles – Tier List for Strongest Monsters
The latest game by Com2us, Summoners War: Chronicles is ready to be launched globally for all players after being launched in Korean, the home region of the company. The company has recently made an announcement regarding the cross-platform launch of the MMORPG. As usual with games from Com2US, players can expect a grand launch event with juicy pre-registration rewards. Summoners War: Chronicles is taking place in the world of Orbis, however, the timeline and story are completely separate from other games of the Summoners War franchise such as Summoners War: Sky Arena and Summoners War: Lost Centuria. Summoners War: Chronicles will be available to download and install as a free-to-play title on both the Google Play Store and iOS App Store.
Players can pre-register for Summoners War: Chronicles on their official website or on their respective app stores depending on their platform. The gameplay of Summoners War: Chronicles is fully action-based with exploration mode enabled to let players roam and wander around the rich multi-colored biomes of the game. Being an MMORPG, this is going to be the first time, players will be actually able to explore the fictional land of Orbis in full 3D. Summoners War: Chronicles is also slated to include future cross-overs with other Summoners War games. Players can create their own character at the start of the game with a lot of customization in store for the artsy people. However, players can only choose 1 out of 3 presets of characters, namely – Orbia, Kina, and Cleaf. Keep in mind that all the monsters included in this tier list are going to be available at the time of the global launch of the game. We have considered many factors while ranking these monsters in their individual tiers. Here is a short breakdown of each tier:
S Tier monsters – These monsters have some of the best base stats in the game which helps them deal more damage or take more damage, depending on their class. The majority of these monsters are quite self-sufficient at performing their best without the need for other monsters. These monsters perform well in both PvE as well as PvP game modes.
A Tier monsters – These monsters have great base stats and amazing abilities that suit their kits. These monsters can be pushed to the S tier if they receive some tweaks here and there. A lot of these monsters can be quite good on their own if built correctly. However, these monsters are more specific to certain types of game modes and cannot be taken into all content offered in Summoners War: Chronicles.
B Tier monsters – These monsters have average-bad base stats, automatically them the last choice. Some of them can still help you in your journey if you’re a new player. The majority of these monsters are bad on their own and their abilities are lackluster.
S Tier Monsters

Baretta (Fire Sylph) – 5-Star Monster
Baretta is a natural 5-Star monster that is classified as a Wizard type in Summoners War: Chronicles. Players can acquire the base form of Fire Sylph from the gacha. The awakened version of the Fire Sylph is called Baretta. Upon being ascended, Baretta upgrades his 2nd active ability “Ultimate Flying Pheonix” which is an AOE-targeted damaging attack that hits all enemies in a particular area. Each enemy hit has a certain chance of getting afflicted with the Burn debuff for 2 turns each. This skill hits all enemies 3 times, theoretically equating to 3 stacks of burn debuff for 2 turns. Baretta is one of the best options for PvE teams as Burn debuff deals damage equal to MAX HP of the target. This is especially good against bosses that have an extremely high HP pool. Baretta’s 1st active ability Turbulence is an AOE-targeted damaging skill that deals fire-elemental damage to enemies in a specific range. Enemies hit by the skill get their burn debuffs refreshed.
Wind Sky Dancer (Chasun) – 5-Star Monster
Chasun is a natural 5-Star monster that is classified as a Support type in Summoners War: Chronicles. Players can acquire the base form of Wind Sky Dancer from the gacha. The awakened version of the Wind Sky Dancer is called Chasun. Chasun is one of the best healers if not the best in the game. Both of her active abilities are able to heal allies according to her own MAX HP which is a great thing as she’s supposed to be built with a high amount of HP. Her 2nd active ability Fallen Blossoms is an AOE-targeted healing spell that continuously heals all allies for 7 seconds. Further, revives one dead allied monster and restores their HP up to her own current HP%. Her 1st active ability Amuse is also an AOE-targeted healing ability that heals all allies’ HP according to her own MAX HP. Further, grants all allies an Attack buff that lasts for 10 seconds.
Wind Joker (Lushen) – 5-Star Monster
Lushen is a natural 5-Star monster that is classified as a Wizard type in Summoners War: Chronicles. Players can acquire the base form of Wind Joker from the gacha. The awakened version of the Wind Joker is called Lushen. Lushen was the best AOE-damage dealer in earlier Summoner War games and the trend seems to continue even with Summoners War: Chronicles. Although a rare hero to summon being a natural 5-Star, Lushen can definitely add a lot to your team. His 2nd active ability Amputation Magic is an AOE-targeted damaging ability that deals wind-elemental damage to all enemies caught in the projectile. The hits increase the fatality rate, which means they deal increased critical hit damage. Further deals more damage to enemies who are under a Stun debuff while also ignoring a certain percentage of their defense. Lushen’s 1st active ability Surprise Box is a multi-targeted damaging skill that has a chance of stunning enemies that are hit by the skill. His abilities are well synchronized with each other, making him one of the best damage dealers in the game that doesn’t require much setup.
Water Valkyrie (Camilla) – 5-Star Monster
Camilla is a natural 5-Star monster that is classified as a Knight type in Summoners War: Chronicles. Players can acquire the base form of Water Valkyrie from the gacha. The awakened version of the Water Valkyrie is called Camilla. Camilla might be the best monster for PvP purposes because of her immense utility as a damage dealer/buffer/cleanser. She can be played in multiple ways depending on the requirement of the player. Her 4th passive ability Ultimate Knight Regeneration states that Camilla removes all debuffs from herself and the summoner while granting them both continuous heal buffs that last for 8 seconds. Camilla’s 2nd passive ability First Aid states that she receives reduced critical hit damage and heals herself by a certain amount upon receiving critical hit damage from enemies. Her 2nd active ability Water Expansion is an AOE-targeted damaging skill that hits all enemies in range 2 times. Each hit deals water elemental damage and has a chance of inflicting Attack down debuff lasting for 6 seconds. Camilla’s basic hits can trigger Water Expansion if she defeats an enemy with her normal attacks.
Fire Valkyrie (Vanessa) – 5-Star Monster
Vanessa is a natural 5-Star monster that is classified as a Knight type in Summoners War: Chronicles. Players can acquire the base form of Fire Valkyrie from the gacha. The awakened version of the Fire Valkyrie is called Vanessa. Vanessa is one of the best offensive revivers in the game. Her 3rd active ability Return of the Ultimate Warrior is an AOE-targeted damaging skill that deals fire elemental damage to all enemies caught within the projectile, dealing damage that scales according to their MAX HP. She also has a chance of reducing the Defense of enemies for 4 seconds. Further, revives 2 dead monsters on the team and increases everybody’s Attack power for 7 seconds. With such a loaded skill, it’s no shock that Vanessa ranks at the top of the tier lists. Her 2nd active ability Flame Explosion is a multi-targeted damaging skill that deals fire-elemental damage to all enemies caught in the range of explosion while having a certain chance of reducing their Defense for 8 seconds. Vanessa’s basic hits can trigger Fire Explosion if she defeats an enemy with her normal attacks.

Light Archangel (Artamiel) – 5-Star Monster
Artamiel is a natural 5-Star monster that is classified as a Knight type in Summoners War: Chronicles. Players can acquire the base form of Light Archangel from the gacha. The awakened version of the Light Archangel is called Artamiel. Artamiel’s passive ability Judge states that he counterattacks the enemy that hits allied monsters under a fatal range. Each counterattack hit reduces the cooldown of his other abilities. His 2nd active ability Ultimate Judge’s Sword is a single targeted damaging skill that deals light elemental damage which is directly proportional to his own Defense. Removes all buffs from the targeted enemy and inflicts a Taunt debuff for 5 seconds. His 1st active ability is a single targeted supportive ability that can restore the HP of 1 selected ally and grant them an Increased defense buff for 5 seconds.
Dark Chimera (Zeratu) – 5-Star Monster
Zeratu is a natural 5-Star monster that is classified as an Assassin type in Summoners War: Chronicles. Players can acquire the base form of Dark Chimera from the gacha. The awakened version of the Dark Chimera is called Zeratu. Zertau is perhaps the best dark elemental damage dealer in the game. His 3rd active ability Ultimate Leap states that Zeratu leaps into the air and doesn’t take any damage while in the air. Jumps down after 3 seconds to deal damage equal to his Attack speed on all enemies that are caught in the projectile. His passive ability Forbidden Power states that whenever Zeratu’s attacks land as a critical hit, he has a certain chance to increase his Attack power for 4 seconds and use his ability Leap. Zeratu’s 1st active ability Quality is a single targeted damaging skill that deals dark elemental damage to the target, scaling proportionally to his Attack Speed. If this attack does not land as a critical hit, then proceeds to give himself an Increased Critical Hit Chance buff lasting 4 seconds.
Water Polar Queen (Alicia) – 5-Star Monster
Alicia is a natural 5-Star monster that is classified as a Wizard type in Summoners War: Chronicles. Players can acquire the base form of Water Polar Queen from the gacha. The awakened version of the Water Polar Queen is called Alicia. Alicia’s 2nd active ability Ultimate Frost is AOE-targeted damage-dealing skill that deals water elemental damage to all enemies that are caught within the projectile. She freezes the target hit for 4 seconds while recovering mana for the Summoner upon killing each enemy with this ability. Alicia’s 1st active ability Midnight Storm is an AOE-targeted damaging skill that deals water elemental damage to all enemies. Each critical hit endured by Alicia reduces the cooldown of her Ultimate Frost ability.
Water Occult Girl (Anavel) – 5-Star Monster
Anavel is a natural 5-Star monster that is classified as a Support type in Summoners War: Chronicles. Players can acquire the base form of Water Occult Girl from the gacha. The awakened version of the Water Occult Girl is called Anavel. Anavel is one of those monsters that can easily move up to S tier if her skill cooldowns get reduced. She has excellent abilities that synchronize well with each other. Her 2nd passive ability Help Teddy! is a great cleansing skill that states that Anavel’s teddy dispels all debuffs afflicted on the summoner. Her 2nd active ability Ultimate Guardian Angel is an AOE-targeted multi-hitting skill that deals water elemental damage to all enemies. This skill hits 5 times, with each hit dealing damage proportional to Anavel’s MAX HP. Further, this skill has a certain chance of inflicting Defense down debuff for 5 seconds. Anavel’s 1st active ability A Girl’s Prayer is an AOE-targeted buffing/healing skill that removes 1 debuff from all allies and heals all allies. The recovery amount is directly proportional to her MAX HP.
B Tier Monsters

Wind Ifrit (Akhamamir) – 5-Star Monster
Akhamamir is a natural 5-Star monster that is classified as a Warrior type in Summoners War: Chronicles. Players can acquire the base form of Wind Ifrit from the gacha. The awakened version of the Wind Ifrit is called Akhamamir. Akhamamir is one of the best damage-over-time effect-based monsters in the game. Although not as strong as Baretta’s, his DOT effects are still valuable. His 2nd active ability Ultimate Mach Crush is an AOE-targeted damaging ability that deals wind elemental damage and the damage scales according to the number of damage-over-time effects already afflicted on the target. This skill further has a chance of stunning the enemies for 4 seconds each. Akhamamir’s 1st active ability Giga Crush is an AOE-targeted damaging skill that deals wind elemental damage to all enemies. The damage scales according to his own MAX HP. Further inflicts 2 stacks of Electric Shock debuff on all enemies hit.
Water Magic Knight (Lapis) – 5-Star Monster
Lapis is a natural 5-Star monster that is classified as a Warrior type in Summoners War: Chronicles. Players can acquire the base form of Water Magic Knight from the gacha. The awakened version of the Water Magic Knight is called Lapis. Lapis’s 2nd active ability Ultimate Magic Recovery is a multi-targeted damaging skill that launches 5 consecutive hits that target enemies randomly. Each hit deals water elemental damage and decreases the Attack power of enemies hit by 5 seconds. Further, Lapis recovers HP equal to the damage dealt by the skill. Lapis’s 1st active ability Magic Bullets is also a multi-targeted damaging skill that launches 4 consecutive hits that target enemies randomly. Each hit deals water elemental damage and decreases the Defense of enemies hit for 5 seconds.
Wind Archangel (Eladriel) – 5-Star Monster
Eladriel is a natural 5-Star monster that is classified as a Knight type in Summoners War: Chronicles. Players can acquire the base form of Wind Archangel from the gacha. The awakened version of the Wind Archangel is called Eladriel. Eladriel is touted as one of the best revivers in the game. Sadly, other monsters also have revive-based skills plus other additional effects that put Eladriel to shame. His 2nd active ability Archangel’s Mercy revives all dead monsters and additionally provides a Soul Guard buff to them that protects them from death. Eladriel’s 1st active ability Archangel’s Blessing is a single targeted healing skill that heals the targeted ally’s HP. The recovery amount is directly proportional to his own MAX Defense.
