Tales of Terrarum Guide to Personalize your Town
Tales of Terrarum is a thematic and immersive stylized 3D management game that emphasizes on the need of customization and personalization. Players can decorate their town according to their whims and upgrade its various aspects to give it a more personalized outlook. Whether you want to optimize your town for resource production, focus on military strength, or create a bustling hub for trade and diplomacy, the town system offers a wealth of options. This guide will walk you through the essential aspects of town personalization.
What is your Town?
In Tales of Terrarum, your town serves as your base of operations. It’s where you manage resources, recruit troops, research new technologies, and interact with other players. Town personalization isn’t just about making your settlement look great—it’s also about optimizing functionality. A well-designed town can give you a strategic edge in PvE and PvP gameplay by boosting resource production, character power, and skills.
All Buildings and their Functions
In Tales of Terrarum, players will see a lot of different buildings, each given a specific task to accomplish. In general, there are 2 types of buildings – Resource and General. Resource buildings, as the name itself suggests, are those buildings that produce certain resources that are required to progress in the game. As a new player, we would highly recommend prioritizing upgrading these buildings so that you can get more resources faster. The resource buildings are as follows:
- Wheat Field – A place where wheat is grown. Provides a steady supply of Wheat when built.
- Logging Cabin – A place for logging wood. Provides a steady supply of Pine Wood when built.
- Refinery – A place where materials are processed. Provides a steady supply of Planks when built.
- Cotton Field – A place where cotton is produced. Provides a steady supply of Cotton when built.
- Textile Mill – A place where fabric is produced. Provides a steady supply of Cotton Cloth when built.
- Bakery – A place where bread is baked. Can produce Bread when built.
- Harbor – A place for fishing. Once constructed, it can consistently give out Fish.
General buildings, on the other hand, are secondary buildings that also play an important role in your progression but do not actively produce resources. These buildings help you on your adventure by summoning new heroes, providing idle resources, and housing your residents that enter the Town. They are also considered the backbone for your town as they help you advance through multiple quests and aid you in developing your characters. The general buildings are as follows:
- Adventurer’s Cottage – Where adventurers gather and store loot. After construction, adventurers will travel on their own.
- Farmers Hut – The place where farmers live. After construction, it can accommodate new farmers.
- Town Hall – The workplace of the Lord, it is the heart of the town. Upgrading it can increase the level cap of all buildings.
- Theater – Flamboyant and extravagant. Only opens in the night time.
- Pyramid – Design inspired by the ancient architect of the Golden Desert, with it’s bricks infused with magic. Can enhance the adventurer’s attributes.
- Dragon Pavilion – Inspired by the mysterious architecture of an ancient Eastern country, with a dragon coiled around it. The hidden power within can enhance character attributes.
- Ancient Treehouse – Walls made of ancient wood and shaded by green leaves. A house transformed from a millennia old tree, gathering spiritual energy that can enhance character attributes.
- Sakura Castle – Bloosoms fall like rain. A castle surrounded by a sea of pink flowers, and each bloom contains natural magic that can enhance character attributes.
- Worker’s Cottage – A dwelling for workers to reside in. Once constructed, it can accommodate new workers.
All Decorations in Tales of Terrarum
Of course, your town would lack a lot of aesthetic and appear simple without any decorations. Tales of Terrarum gives players the opportunity to design the town of their dreams with tons of decorative items that can be purchased from the builder shop. These items do not give any combat/resource advantage but exist only to increase the creativity of the player. Some of the core decorative items are as follows:
- Flag – Inspiring and flying colorful flags.
- Small Flower Bed – A small flower bed used for greening.
- Leisure Bench – The bench on the roadside allows tired people to sit and rest for a while.
- Long Flower Bed – Long flower beds used for greening.
- Small Altar – A small altar provided by the Sanctuary, where a few minutes of prayer can bring a day of good luck.
- Swing – A swing to sit or play.
- Statue of Hero – A statue of a knight in chief wielding a lance and heading in charge.
- Large Statue – A magnificent large statue of God with divine aura.
- Fountain – A simple fountain.
