Character Level-ups
Let’s start with the basics. The easiest way to upgrade your overmen is by simply leveling them up by spending gold. This can be done by clicking on the “Upgrade” button and clicking on the “Character” tab.
Leveling up in this game actually consists of several layers. Firstly, you must max-level all four stats of the overmen: Attack Power, Critical Hit Chance, Critical Hit Damage, and Health Points. The max level for stats is usually Level 100. Once all stats are maxed, you must do a character level-up to level up the overmen themselves and reset the stats levels back to 0. The max character level is usually Level 300. When you reach the max character level, the overmen must upgrade their “Scent Level” to move up to the next rank and repeat the entire process.
If you have enough gold, you can instantly do 10 character level-ups, one character level-up, or one stats level-up by pressing their respective buttons. A wise strategy is to ensure that all your overmen have the same stats levels and character levels. This is to prevent any bottlenecks in the overall strength of your team.
Research Center
Leveling up an overman’s stats and character is done through gold. But you can also purchase stronger upgrades using jewels in the research center. This can be done by clicking on the “Upgrade” button and clicking on the “Research Center” tab.
Unlike level-ups, upgrades from the research center apply to all overmen (although there is a research upgrade specifically for Kang Lim). Each upgrade also has levels that you can increase until you reach max-level by spending jewels. Below is a list of all the research center upgrades:
Upgrade Name | Description | Research Cost (in jewels) |
Kang Lim Attack Speed | Increase the attack speed of Kang Lim | 300 |
Fever | Increase the duration and team attack power when fever is enabled | 300 |
Allies Attack Buff | Increase the attack rate of allies | 300 |
Ready to Boss Battle (Permanent Effect) | Fever and skill gauge are instantly charged to 100% at the start of boss battles. | 1,500 (one-time purchase) |
Reduced Boss Summoning Conditions | Decrease the number of enemies required to eliminate to spawn the boss | 500 |
When defeated by a boss, the skill gauge is charged | Charge the skill gauge by a certain amount when your overmen are defeated by a boss | 600 |
Buff Cards
Another way to make your overmen more powerful is by activating buff cards. Buff cards are special items that can increase the attack power dealt by your overmen,
Buff cards come in various grades. The higher the grade is, the higher the base buff that the card gives out. From least strong to strongest, the grades are:
C -> CC -> CCC -> B -> BB -> BBB -> A -> AA -> AAA -> S -> SS -> SSS -> R -> RR -> RRR -> U -> UU -> UUU
The effects of buff cards can be upgraded with character chips. These chips are specific to each character however so they cannot be shared.
Equipment
To give further upgrades to your overmen, you can collect and wear equipment. The equipment gives your overmen-specific buffs.
There are two types of equipment: shared equipment and exclusive equipment. Shared equipment applies its buffs to all your overmen. Shared equipment comes in rarities and the rarer the equipment is, the stronger its shared buffs are. The rarity grades of equipment are the same as the ones used in buff cards.
There are four types of equipment in the game. Each type gives a specific buff to the overmen. Below is a list of all equipment types and the respective stat that they affect.
- Gloves – +Attack power
- Eyewear – +Critical Hit Chance
- Earphones – +Critical Hit Damage
- Body Armor – +Health Points
You can upgrade equipment to further increase the buffs that they give. There are two ways to do this. Firstly, you can use Equipment Reinforcing Stone to level up the equipment up to Level 100. Secondly, you can combine five instances of the same equipment (same grade) to upgrade them to the next level. So for example, if you have five pairs of C-grade gloves, you can combine them and turn them into one pair of CC-grade gloves.
Exclusive equipment is equipment that can only be worn by a specific overman. You can get these by combining five UUU-grade shared equipment. Similar to shared equipment, you can combine two or more exclusive pieces of equipment together to promote them to the next grade; in this case, however, grades are now called stars. Below is a list of all exclusive equipment and their respective buffs.
