Tree of Savior: Neverland is a captivating open-world MMORPG that features a plethora of classes to choose from, each boasting a unique playstyle. Get deeper into the lore and see what causes unrest in the holy continent of Yggdrasil. Enjoy multiple co-ops features wherein you can participate in raids and dungeons alongside your friends. In this guide, we will be sharing some of our personalized tips and tricks to help players get stronger and increase their combat power. Let’s begin!
Tip #1. Choosing the Right Class
Each class in Tree of Savior: Neverland offers distinct abilities and roles. Players should be aware of their playstyle before they make this sacred choice as once chosen, you cannot go back unless starting an account all over again. The game features 5 distinct classes – Shield Guard, Magister, Spirit Healer, Gunslinger, and Shadow Hunter. Shield Guard would be recommended for players who like playing as a tanky warrior that can get right in between enemies and absorb damage.
Magister and Gunslinger offer a similar playstyle, as they both are destructive and want to deal as much damage as possible. Shadow Hunter is more akin to playing an assassin and players choosing this class should have a heightened map awareness to spot crucial kills. Spirit Healer is more of a team-play class as it gives a chunk of healing to all allies on top of providing helpful buffs.
Tip #2. Recruit Strong Catpals
For those unaware, Tree of Savior: Neverland has an innate gacha system wherein players can summon and add Catpals to their line-ups. This is the primary source of getting your hands on those strong furry creatures who always help turn the tides of battles with their active abilities. Catpals can also be chained together and unlock special effects, granted that they have some sort of synergy together. Many times, Catpals can be used to offset the disadvantage your class face. For example, if you have chosen the Gunslinger class, you will have access to tons of damage but no sustain.
Using a Catpal that has healing abilities will offset this disadvantage and aid you in battle thoroughly. Similarly, if you have chosen the Spirit Healer class, you will have tons of survivability but no damage. You can offset this by using a Catpal that deals a ton of damage with their special skill. Do not wait out on using your catpal abilities as they go on a cooldown instantly after use.
Tip #3. Focus on the Main Quests
The importance of this tip cannot be stressed out enough. Many players will enter the game and expect all the game modes and upgrade systems already unlocked. However, that is not the case. In Tree of Savior: Neverland, you will need to quest a lot. There are main quests and side quests. For the sake of beginner’s, focus only on the main quests until you’re stuck somewhere, during which point, you can also complete the side quests.
Main quests not only act as the tutorial for many players but also give out significant rewards that will help you on your journey a lot. These resources can be experience, gold, rubies, and other empowerment materials. Ensure you have turned on auto-pathing for an easier time following the travelling path in the quests. Majority of them are quite basic, fetch some materials from an NPC, deliver it to someone else. But, some quests also see you engaging in thematic action against bosses in Archi Tower and Gear Rift.
Tip #4. Challenge the Gear Rift Daily
Equipment is an important resource in Tree of Savior: Neverland. This is because they can only be farmed once per day from the Gear Rift dungeon. This dungeon will unlock shortly after you complete the tutorial and reach Level 13. The highlight of this dungeon is that it gives out gears of all rarities and levels. But, players can only challenge this content once per day. Challenging the Gear Rift requires tickets. Each day, all players get 1 free attempt to challenge this dungeon.
The Gear Rift has 3 floors in it. Each of them unlocks at different levels. The higher the floor, the sweeter the rewards but harder the challenge. Each floor of the Gear Rift harbors a different boss that needs to be studied thoroughly in order to counter. The floors and their levels are as follows:
- Misty Thicket (Level 10)
- Tomb of Spider Lily (Level 20)
- Priory of Flames (Level 30)
Tip #5. Allocate your Skill Points Wisely
The skilling system in Tree of Savior: Neverland is amazing! Players can customize which skills they want to use and which they do not. Every time your account levels up, you will get 1 skill point that can be allocated to any of your acquired skills. Skilling up your abilities will not only make them stronger but also decrease their cooldown for efficient spamming. If you’re looking to play the game long term, think hard about which skills you want to maximize the utility of. You can also reset the skill upgrades for free the first time but it will cost you rubies afterwards.
