Tip #1. Master the Tension System in Combat

For those unaware, TRIBE NINE is quite different from other action RPGs as it features a unique “Tension” system. This system states that whenever you or your allies take damage or deal damage to enemies, they will generate some amount of Tension that mediates throughout the battlefield. Your tension meter will be seen at the top of the battle screen, and it is divided into multiple stages. The higher the meter, the more Tension you have. Players can utilize this tension increase by either using Tension Cards or using their character’s ultimate abilities in sync.

Apart from utilizing Tension, there are a lot of other variable mechanics that you can use to gain an advantage in battles. Master dodging to dodge enemy attacks and time your counterattacks for maximum impact. Skills have cooldowns, so use them judiciously rather than spamming. By default, all characters you summon or get from an event start at Level 1. To level up a character, you’ll need special materials, which you can get by completing dungeons or defeating opponents, some of whom drop important upgrade materials when defeated.
