What are Weapon Evolutions?

Vampire Survivors is a relatively simple idle indie game wherein players need to focus on maneuvering their characters in a large map, wherein zombies keep surrounding you every step of the way. The game does a great job at giving you ample space for movement as long as you are smart about it. Players start any round with a weapon of their choice. Over time, you can get more items as you level up by slaying more enemies. Each time you level up, you are given a choice to either enhance your weapon, evolve it, or advance skills/stats.

To activate a Vampire Survivors weapon evolution, you must first level it up to the maximum and acquire any connected items before killing an elite monster and opening the chest that drops. Some feature special circumstances, such as not requiring any more things, boosting linked items to the maximum level, or evolving many times.

  • Bloody Tear = Whip + Hollow Heart. The Bloody Tear attack, like the Whip, creates a horizontal slice that starts from the character’s torso. When Bloody Tear evolves, her cuts become larger. Consecutive slashes from greater Amount alternate between firing towards and away from the character’s current direction, gradually increasing.
  • Holy Wand = Magic Wand + Empty Tome. The Holy Wand, as an advanced Magic Wand, has half the cooldown and twice the projectile speed. Additional projectiles from Amount will be fired sequentially. The projectiles cannot penetrate walls.
  • Thousand Edge = Knife + Bracer. Thousand Edge fires a never-ending stream of knife projectiles in the player’s current or previous direction of movement. Thousand Edge shoots three times quicker, with a significant increase in Speed and a slight increase in Interval. The projectiles cannot penetrate walls.
  • Death Spiral = Axe + Candelabrador. Death Spiral unleashes nine spinning scythes surrounding the player. Each scythe has a high pierce rate and is larger, with damage reduction to compensate. It also has a slower projectile speed, allowing it to linger on screen for longer.

  • Heaven Sword = Cross + Clover. Heaven Sword, like Cross, throws a sword at the nearest enemy, which then spins and boomerangs in the other direction until it exits the screen.
  • Unholy Vespers = King Bible + Spellbinder. Unholy Vespers produce a ring of symbols around the player, from which purple pages periodically fall. The symbols rotate clockwise around the player, causing damage to any enemies they come into contact with. It has a slight increase in Area, a significant increase in Knockback, and a reduction in Speed and Duration.
  • Hellfire = Fire Wand + Spinach. The Hellfire unleashes flaming meteors that move slowly and penetrate all foes. Hellfire has an even higher Base Damage, but with a slower Projectile Speed and a lower Amount and Pool Limit.

  • Soul Eater = Garlic + Pummarola. Soul Eater surrounds the player with a dark aura that emits a pulsing visual effect and deals damage to all enemies inside it. Soul Eater has a significant increase in both area and base damage.
  • La Borra = Santa Water + Attractorb. The La Borra showers down holy water bottles from the sky, which break when they hit the ground, causing damage. These zones steadily advance towards the player and spawn at six predetermined locations. They grow in size as they travel and have a cap size.
  • NO FUTURE = Runetracer + Armor. NO FUTURE fires a ricocheting blue laser in random directions. It has limitless penetration and bounces off the screen’s edge or obstructions, causing damage to opponents it hits. The explosion radius is defined by a translucent test pattern surrounded by a circle of purple particles.
  • Thunder Loop = Lightning Ring + Duplicator. The Thunder Loop summons lightning strikes from the sky to cause damage to random adversaries; each lightning strike is repeated after a brief pause, substantially increasing the attack rate. When lightning strikes the earth, it forms an orange circle that flashes red, orange, and yellow.
  • Gorgeous Moon = Pentagram + Crown. Gorgeous Moon removes adversaries from the screen but no longer destroys pickups. Instead, it generates more experience.

  • Vicious Hunger = Gatti Amari + Stone Mask. Vicious Hunger conjures enormous cat eyeballs using a hexagram on the screen’s edge. The eyes primarily travel in a straight line but may reverse direction after a while, delivering damage when in contact with foes.
