Tip #1. Progress through the Main Story  

One of the most helpful tips we can dispatch for all accounts is to simply progress through the main story chapters. Each chapter constitutes varying difficulty stages, culminating at a Boss stage. The Boss fight can be quite tough for each chapter and gets progressively harder. You will need to master the combat mechanics and take heroes that have an advantageous element over the enemy. All this information will be given to you before the fight starts.

These main story stages not only give you tons of resources such as EXP, Gold, and Diamonds but also pave the way to unlock new content. You are required to complete them anyway if you want to get ahead in the game.

Tip #2. Claiming the Idle Rewards

Since Zombieland: Doomsday Survival is an Idle game, it means you will get resources even when you’re not actively playing the game. This helps in time management and is beneficial for casual players who are not looking to grind the game. These bonus free resources can be claimed by clicking the Gold chest in the middle of the main menu. Keep in mind that the longer you’re AFK, the more resources you can claim. However, this only works up to a maximum of 12 hours. Hence, you can claim max freebies 2 times each day.

Tip #3. Recruiting Strong Heroes

Survivors, or called “heroes” officially, are going to be your bread & butter for combat scenarios. These heroes have a set of active and passive abilities that help them take on challenging content and defeat mobs of zombies at a time. Just like any other RPG, you can also upgrade these heroes in Zombieland: Doomsday Survival. Upgrading them provides the heroes with enhanced base stats and attributes. Another amazing way to enhance the power of your heroes is by equipping them with strong gear sets.

Each hero has 4 distinct equipment slots that can be filled to grant them additive stats. These stats can be Attack, Defense, Health, Crit rate, crit damage, and more. Heroes can further be ascended to new star levels, helping them unlock new abilities as well as enhancing existing ones. In case you’re not happy with the performance of your hero, simply re-birth them and you will get all your invested resources back. This does bring the hero back to Level 1, though.

Tip #4. Creating Synergized Line-Ups 

Perhaps the most important aspect of mastering the combat mechanics in Zombieland: Doomsday Survival is to create a synergized line-up. A balanced squad of heroes works the best. You can add up to 6 heroes in your line-up. Our ideal recommendation is 2 tanks 3 DPS and 1 Healer/Support hero. Further, you can create multiple line-ups as well for different types of content. For example, you can create separate line-ups for dungeons and story mode.

One more important factor to consider while creating a solid line-up is the element gains. Each hero is assigned an element, and every element is stronger/weaker than another. Before starting a match, you will be able to view the elements of your enemies. Bringing heroes that have an advantageous element over the enemy will provide you with significant benefits in battle, reducing the power gap between the 2 parties. This trick is used by many high-level players, so don’t shy away from using it!

Tip #5. Participating in Events 

In games like Zombieland: Doomsday Survival, there are events running consistently. Players can participate in said events and reap a generous load of freebies for their account. Many of the events are quite simple to complete, such as login-based events and point-based events. Simply follow the given instructions, jump to the target location, and fulfill the task at hand.
