Azur Lane: New Year Events and a Brand New Event — Tower of Transcendence
The holiday season is not over yet in Azur Lane with the addition of New Year events. This update will also start the 2nd phase of the previous event Call to Arms: Iron Blood and will add more quests to gain further points for the event that you can use to unlock a portrait frame. The popularity polls finale is also over and the total votes really changed drastically since we wrote about them last time. You can read more info about the poll and the previous top 10 contenders here.
The players really like a certain character who swept the whole competition with millions of votes ahead against its competition. Here are the top 10 characters in the Popularity Poll:
- USS New Jersey is the 1st placer with over a staggering 8 Million votes in total.
- KMS Prinz Eugen is the 2nd placer with over 5 Million votes which is also really high.
- KMS Friedrich der GroBe is the 3rd placer with over 4 Million votes in total.
- IJN Shinano is the 4th placer with over 2 Million votes in total.
- KMS Agir is the 5th placer with over 1.8 Million votes in total.
- IJN Taihou is the 6th placer with over 1.3 Million votes in total.
- USS Enterprise is the 7th placer with over 1.2 Million votes in total.
- IJN Shimakaze is the 8th placer with over 1.1 Million votes in total.
- HMS Cheshire over IJN Noshiro to be the 9th place with over 900K votes in total.
- KMS Z23 is not a spot lower to be in the 10th place also with over 900K votes in total.
Call to Arms: Iron Blood Phase 2
This is the bigger event that we mentioned in the previous patch, This event lets you unlock a limited chat frame if you participate. These are the additional tasks that you can do in the event:
- Log in to the game to get a 2 time Rental Outfit Voucher.
- Build 3 Ships to get 300 times Debris Sample.
- Sortie and win 15 times to get another 300 times Debris Sample.
- Sortie and clear 1 non event Hard Mode to get 150 time Debris Sample.
- Clear A2 or C2 10 times with Prinz Eugen at max Limit Break in your fleet and Prinz Eugen must survive the battle to get 300 times Training PT.
- Clear A3 or C3 10 times with Peter Strasser at max Limit Break in your fleet and Peter Strasser must survive the battle to get 300 times Training PT.
- Clear B2 or D2 10 times with Tirpitz at max Limit Break in your fleet and Tirpitz must survive the battle to get 300 times Training PT.
- Clear B3 or D3 10 times with U-47 at max Limit Break in your fleet and Tirpitz must survive the battle to get 300 times Training PT.
- Clear EX to get 500 times Cognitive Chips.
- Clear A1 or C1 to get a Wisdom Cube, 600 Coins and 200 times Debris Sample.
- Clear D3 to get a Model Tower of Midgard.
- Clear A1 or C1 with 3 stars to get 500 Oils.
Tower of Transcendence
This event will give you extra reward Debris Sample for every Sortie that you clear, you can then use the Debris Samples to exchange them with certain items that you want. You can collect as many Debris Samples as you can so that you can claim as many items that you want. The Tower of Transcendence will have a total of 39 phases that you can complete, here are the rewards on each phase:
- Phase 1 – Collect 100 Debris Samples and 5 times T2 Mystery Skill Book.
- Phase 2 – Collect 300 Debris Samples and a T2 Cruiser Retrofit Blueprint.
- Phase 3 – Collect 500 Debris Samples and T2 Destroyer Retrofit Blueprint.
- Phase 4 – Collect 700 Debris Samples and 3,000 Coins.
- Phase 5 – Collect 1,000 Debris Samples and 200 times Cognitive Chips.
- Phase 6 – Collect 1,500 Debris Samples and 3,000 Coins.
- Phase 7 – Collect 2,000 Debris Samples and T2 Cruiser Retrofit Blueprint.
- Phase 8 – Collect 2,500 Debris Samples and T2 Destroyer Retrofit Blueprint.
- Phase 9 – Collect 3,000 Debris Samples and 4,000 Coins.
- Phase 10 – Collect 3,500 Debris Samples and 300 times Cognitive Chips.
- Phase 11 – Collect 4,000 Debris Samples and T2 Battleship Retrofit Blueprint.

Blessings and New Year’s Invitations 2022
You can find a shrine in the New Year Port Campaign to make offerings and receive blessings from, you will receive 1 Ema every day and you can hold up to 7 Ema at a time. Ema can be hung up at the Shrine as decorations. Hanging up the Ema will grant your ships handy buffs and will also grant you 1 Origami Crane per Ema hung up. Collecting 7 Origami Cranes will reward you with the New Year’s Invitation. Using the New year’s Invitation will give you a chance to select SR ships for free. The ship you choose will be added to your dock.
Manjuu Curling
Strategecally position the swole Meowficcer and slide the curling stone as close to the red circle to get points. A new round of Manjuu Curling will be unlocked every day of the campaign. You can get Southampton’s skin Afternoon Impromptu if you complete this mini game.
Fireworks Workshop
You can make fireworks in this minigame and get some rewards, there’s going to be 3 layers where you can put the firework’s ingredients. You will receive 1 minigame point every day of the campaign. You can hold up to 7 minigame points at a time. Using the fireworks workshop uses 1 minigame point and grants you 1 firework ticket. You can obtain the Elite Iron Blood destroyer Z28 once you have collected 7 firework tickets.
Tonic and Tea
This mini event follows the story of a competition between the Royal Navy and the Iron Blood as they both strive to earn the title of the best shop in port. Complete the missions to receive shop upgrade permits which can be used to upgrade the shops. Upgrading the shops will grant your ships useful buffs that last the duration of the whole campaign. Go to the event banner to claim a piece of exclusive furniture once you’ve completed all missions. You will also gain access to a set of hidden missions that can be completed to see more of the story.
