The game features a classic tale of mythology mixed with modern art and personalities. Powers of gods are distributed among select individuals called “Espers” to combat the evil forces. Dislyte is available as a free-to-play title on both Google Play Store and iOS App Store.
The latest update for Dislyte is titled Patch 3.0.3 and is officially the 3rd patch to be implemented since the game’s launch back in May 2022. The game has successfully launched globally after a ton of open beta testing on different servers. Dislyte’s patches are not some minor updates but full-fledged content and feature-rich update that happen almost on a tri-weekly basis. Patch 3.0.3 features a new bloodbath-filled event titled “Bloody Hunt” that features 3 new espers – Zora (Amunet) and Xiao Yin (Azure Dragon), and Aurelius (Ullr) is coming to Dislyte with the latest patch. Players can view the special animated trailer for the event on the game’s official YouTube channel. A new feature called Relic Boosting is also being introduced to give players a chance to further upgrade their collected Relics. Let’s get right into the details for Patch 3.0.3 which is scheduled to release on 12th July 2022.
Zora – New 5-Star Esper
Zora is a 5-Star Flow elemental esper that is classified as a DPS in-game. Zora has the powers of the Goddess Amunet. Zora is one of the highest base Attack Espers that is being released in Dislyte. Such a high base Attack instantly makes her a rival to current DPS kings like Li Ling, Narmer, Lin Xiao, etc. Zora is one of the first espers released in Dislyte that has an AOE targeted at damaging basic ability. This skill deals damage based on her Attack and has a certain chance to inflict the Diseased debuff on enemies while stealing some of the HP dealt as damage. This skill will deal more damage to enemies the fewer the targets.
Zora’s 2nd ability is an active ability that is a single targeted damaging skill that deals damage based on her Attack to the target. The skill attacks the enemy multiple times and the damage is increased based on a critical hit that is inflicted. Zora further gains a Speed buff for 2 turns. Zora also has a chance of using her Keen Edge ability based on the targeted enemy’s HP left. After this skill is ascended, she also has a specific chance of dispelling all buffs from the targeted enemy. Her ultimate ability is also an AOE targeted damaging skill that deals damage to all enemies according to her own Attack. This skill has a chance of inflicting a Buff block debuff on the target as well as a specific chance to re-activate her Keen Edge skill depending on the HP% left of enemies. All of Zora’s skills further glorify her reputation as a finisher according to her lore.
Let’s take a look at Zora’s abilities in detail:
Keen Edge (Active Skill) – Zora’s first ability Keen Edge deals damage to all enemies subject to the caster’s ATK, steals HP based on the damage dealt, and inflicts Diseased. The fewer the targets, the higher the damage.
Dark Descent (Passive Skill) – Zora’s second ability Dark Descent attacks 1 target multiple times. Deals damage based on ATK increases damage upon a Crit and gains SPD Up. Has a chance of casting Keen Edge based on the caster’s HP.
After Ascension: Attacks 1 target multiple times. Deals damage based on ATK increases damage upon a Crit and gains SPD Up. Has a chance of casting Keen Edge based on the caster’s HP. Has a chance of dispelling buffs from the target.
Galactic Rush (Active Skill) – Zora’s third ability Galactic Rush deals damage to all enemies based on the caster’s ATK and inflicts Buff Blocker on them. Has a chance of casting Keen Edge based on the caster’s HP.
Xiao Yin – New 4-Star Esper
Xiao Yin is a 4-Star Flow elemental Esper that is classified as a DPS in-game. Xiao Yin possesses the power of the God Azure Dragon. Xiao Yin is going to be the first Esper that introduces a new mechanic called Stealth with his release. Stealth allows the user to avoid single targeted damaging skills thrown by enemies but they are still vulnerable to AOE damaging skills. His basic ability is a single targeted damaging skill that deals damage based on his Attack and further deals bonus damage if the attack lands as a critical hit. The bonus damage amount will be equal to a certain percentage of his own Attack. This seems to be a trend going forward where Espers deal more damage to enemies when they inflict a critical hit. This damage is different from the critical hit damage that is triggered whenever any Esper inflicts a critical hit.
Xiao Yin’s 2nd skill is also a single targeted damaging skill that deals multiple hits to the target with each attack dealing damage equal to his Attack. After the attacks, Xiao Yin goes into a Stealth state for 2 turns. During the Stealth state, Xiao Yin’s damage output is increased by a certain percentage and the user will gain some AP when the Stealth mode is over. After the ascension of this ability, Xiao Yin will start the battle with Stealth mode activated. His ultimate ability is a single targeted damaging skill that deals multiple hits to the target with each hit dealing damage equal to his own Attack. This skill deals more damage to enemies per debuff on them and Xiao Yin will get a Stealth mode after killing an enemy with this skill for 2 turns.
Let’s take a look at Xiao Yin’s abilities in detail:
Shadow Sword (Active Skill) – Xiao Yin’s first ability Shadow Sword deals damage to 1 enemy based on ATK. Deals bonus damage equal to a certain percentage of ATK upon a Crit.
Dragon Gasp (Active Skill) – Xiao Yin’s second ability Dragon Gasp attacks 1 target multiple times, each attack deals damage based on the caster’s ATK. Xiao Yin enters Stealth Mode after the attack. While the caster is in Stealth Mode, the damage is increased by a percentage. Gains AP when Stealth Mode ends.
After Ascension: Attacks 1 target multiple times, each attack deals damage based on the caster’s ATK. Enters Stealth Mode after the attack. While the caster is in Stealth Mode, the damage is increased by a percentage. Gains AP Up when Stealth Mode ends. Enters Stealth Mode at the start of combat.
Stealth Mode: Can’t be targeted directly, but will take AoE damage.
Blossom Sword (Active Skill) – Xiao Yin’s third ability Blossom Sword attacks 1 target multiple times, each dealing damage based on the caster’s ATK. Each debuff on the target increases damage by a percentage, up to a certain limit. Gains Stealth Mode upon killing the target.
Aurelius – New 4-Star Esper
Aurelius is a 4-Star Flow elemental Esper that is classified as a DPS in-game. Aurelius possesses the power of the God Ullr. Aurelius is a new Esper that is going to be available as a free-to-play unit from the Blood Hunt event shop. Aurelius has single targeted damaging skills that deal more damage to enemies that are frozen and can even inflict the Freeze debuff on enemies himself. His basic skill is a single targeted damaging skill that deals damage to enemies based on his Attack and has a specific chance of inflicting Speed down debuff for 2 turns.
His 2nd ability is also a single targeted damaging skill that deals damage to enemies by hitting them multiple times. If the target is under a Freeze debuff, then the last attack will un-freeze them and deal bonus damages based on his Attack. After this skill is ascended, the last hit dealt by this skill will ignore a certain percentage of the enemy’s Defense. Although this skill is countered by Immunity buff and The Light Above relic set, a freezing ability on a 2nd skill is still good for a free-to-play hero. Aurelius’s ultimate ability is an AOE targeted damaging skill that deals damage to all enemies 2 times and deals damage based on his own Attack. The first hit has a chance to inflict the Freeze debuff for 1 turn while the 2nd hit deals more damage to enemies that are frozen. Comparing this skill to Long Mian’s 3rd ability might be the best way since they both can inflict the Freeze debuff. However, Aurelius deals more damage as well whole Long Mian is best suited in a Crowd Control team.
Let’s take a look at Aurelius’s abilities in detail:
Icicle Darts (Active Skill) – Aurelius’ first ability Icicle Darts deals damage to 1 target based on ATK. There is a chance of inflicting SPD Down on the target.
Icebreak Fury (Active Skill) – Aurelius’ second ability Icebreak Fury attacks 1 target multiple times. If the target is Frozen, the last hit un-Freezes them and deals extra damage based on ATK.
After Ascension: Attacks 1 target multiple times. If the target is Frozen, the last hit un-Freezes them and deals extra damage based on ATK, ignoring enemy DEF.
Frost Glory (Active Skill) – Aurelius’ third ability Frost Glory attacks all enemies multiple times based on ATK. The first hit inflicts Freeze, and the second hit deals extra damage to Frozen enemies based on ATK.
Relic Boost System
Relic Boost system is coming to Dislyte with Patch 3.0.3 and will be accessible by players that are Squad Level 50 and above. Players will be able to access the Relic boost system by going to the Relic tab.
Here are some takeaways about the Relic Boost system that are mentioned in the patch notes:
- Every Relic, no matter which level or which rarity, is eligible to be boosted through this system.
- Players will need a new material called Boost Stones to be able to boost any Relic in their inventory.
- Boost Stones can be gathered and farmed in the new content coming to Dislyte called Desolate Lands.
- Boost Stones come in different sets and attributes when farmed from the Desolate lands. Players need to make sure that the Boost Stone they are using matches the main attribute and Set of the Relic being boosted.
- After boosting the relic, its main stat remains the same with the value unchanged but one of the secondary stats gets a significant increase in value. Once the relic is boosted, players cannot un-boost it or go back to its original value.
- The patch notes also mention that the max increment value for Speed secondary attributes is +5-7.
Zora Probability Up Event
As per tradition with Dislyte and its patch notes, the new hero is always featured in a Drop-rate up banner. Here are the main takeaways from the upcoming Zora probability-up event:
- The event banner starts on 12th July 2022 and ends on 2nd August 2022. Players will be able to summon on the event banner using Gold Records.
- During the event, players will have an increased chance of obtaining Zora (Amunet) if they summon a legendary Esper. The base rates to summon Legendary, Epics, and Rares stay the same.
- The pity also remains the same at 120 summons. The existing pity of players on the normal recruit banner will be carried forward during the event. If players have not managed to summon Zora within 450 summons, then Zora will be guaranteed to be summoned at the 450th summon.
- The entire event ends when the player acquires Zora.
- During the event, players will be able to gain additional rewards according to the number of times they summon on the event banner. Gold Record and Legendary Abilimons are offered as the major rewards in this way.
Bloody Hunt Event
The Bloody Hunt event starts on 12th July 2022 and ends on 5th July 2022. Players will be able to access this event if their Squad level is 20+. The Bloody Hunt event can be compared to the likes of the Lone Star event where players will need to collect a new event currency and travel around different maps to view the story of the event. The event description reads “While investigating the missing bounty hunters, Zora and Xiao Yin discover a private mine built by the Shadow Decree and have come to the conclusion that the Shadow Decree might be in control of the Graywater Mining Company. Facing one crisis after another, the Zora who yearned for vengeance has gradually changed…”. Players will be able to access the new event by clicking on the billboard sign that features Zora.
During the event, players can earn and roam around the different maps that are featured in the event. Apart from the story stages, some boss battle stages also exist which offer event currency to players after they defeat the bosses. These boss stages can be repeatedly farmed to earn more event currency which is necessary for redeeming amazing rewards from the event redeem shop. The Bloody Hunt consists of 3 different chapters – The Simmering Crisis, The Enigma, and The Last Stand. Players will be able to access the first 2 chapters from 12th July 2022 while the last chapter will be available sometime later with the date not being mentioned yet. Players need to collect Merit Badges, which is the event currency in the Bloody Hunt event. Apart from the rewards that are available in the redeem shop, players will also gain rewards by completing missions and quests during the event.
The different factors that come under the Bloody Hunt are as follows:
- Commission Platform – The commission platform is a unique new area in the event where players can earn AFK rewards without even participating in the event. These AFK rewards constitute the Merit Badge event currency and Boost Crystals. There is a specific limit attached to how many rewards you can get.
- Power Boost – During the event, players will be able to boost the power of their squad using this feature. Boost Crystals that are obtained from the Commission Platform and Event stages are used for enhancing the node powers.
- Event Shops – The Bloody Hunt event consists of 2 different event shops where the collected merit badge event currency can be used. One is a Basic Merit Badge Shop while the other is an Elite Merit Badge Shop. The rewards from these event shops include the likes of Gold Records, Nexus Crystals, and the 4-Star Esper Aurelius.
