The anniversary includes a ton of events, each of whom offer multiple juicy freebies to grab! A new hero Suyou can also be seen added to the ever-growing roster of heroes. This guide will shed light on everything new added to Mobile Legends: Bang Bang with their 8th anniversary. 

Suyou – New Hero

Suyou is a brand-new Assassin/Fighter class hero added to the game on 27th September, 2024. Suyou is a dual-role hero who excels as both Assassin and Fighter. Suyou can transition between Mortal and Immortal forms, making him ideal for roles such as Jungle or EXP lane. His distinct talents make him a tremendous force on the battlefield, drawing on the magical power of the Nuo mask and blade.​It costs 32000 Gold or 599 Diamonds to unlock this hero. 

His in-game lore states as follows – “Suyou, the last descendent of the Nuo Exorcists, embodied the immortal deity’s power and used it to shepherd the people to enlightenment. He wandered the mortal level like a traveling swordsman, attractive and unconstrained, never forgetting that Nuo’s power stems from the people’s trust. So he set about removing evil from men’s hearts and protecting their dreams for the future.”

Transient Immortal (Passive) – Tap-casting any skill will transform Suyou into his Mortal form, provide him 40 Movement Speed, and shorten the time between Basic Attacks. Hold-casting any ability will transform Suyou into his Immortal form, boosting the damage of Basic Attacks by 125% and giving him 20% Damage Reduction. In this form, Suyou obtains 1% Damage Reduction for every 20 more Physical Attack (up to 40%).

Blade Surge (Active)

Tap: Suyou throws his weapon in the intended direction, dealing 250-330 (+100% Extra Physical Attack) Physical Damage to foes in its path. Suyou then blinks to the weapon’s position, grabs it, and slashes in the opposite direction, dealing 375-495 (+150% Extra Physical Attack) Physical Damage.

Hold: Suyou channels the Immortal’s power and charges in the specified direction, dealing 250-330 (+100% Extra Physical Attack) Physical Damage to opponents in its route. When he hits an opponent hero, he pauses and stuns adversaries in a rectangular area in front of him for 0.6 seconds. The charge distance increases with the hold time. Suyou can be controlled while charging, but the skill cannot be cancelled.

Soul Sever (Active)

Tap: Suyou launches a sweeping strike with his weapon, dealing [300-492 (+200% Extra Physical strike) (+target’s 20% Lost HP) Physical Damage] to opponents in a fan-shaped area.

Hold: Suyou uses the Immortal’s power to conduct three cleaves in a fan-shaped area. The first two strikes deal 250-410 (+80% Extra Physical Attack) Physical Damage each, while the last strike deals 400-656 (+128% Extra Physical Attack) Physical Damage and restores 150-230 (+50% Extra Physical Attack) HP to himself.

Evil Queller (Active)

Tap: Suyou glides backward and swings his weapon in the target direction, dealing 420-580 (+120% Extra Physical Attack) Physical Damage to foes in a rectangular area and along his journey backward, as well as slowing their movement speed by 30% for 1.5 seconds.

Hold: Suyou uses the Immortal’s power to fire a lethal arrow in the target direction, dealing 580-800 (+165% Extra Physical Attack) Physical Damage to the target hit. As the hold time grows, so does the range. Suyou can be controlled while charging, but the skill cannot be canceled.

Free Skin Giveaways

Several anniversary-themed events allow gamers to obtain free Epic skins. The Friends Callback event allows players to welcome friends back into the game and get one of three Epic skins: Roger’s “Phantom Hunter,” Esmeralda’s “Blazing Shadow,” or Chang’e’s “Vine Cradle.” Additionally, from October 4 to 17, gamers can get a random Epic skin by completing weekly assignments. The celebration continues with the Kagura Gift event, where players can unlock Kagura’s “Jade Blossom” skin from October 18 to November 3.

Battlefield Draft Event

In lieu of the 8th anniversary, a brand-new event titled as “Battlefield Draft” is ongoing. This event aims to revolutionize the way ranked games are played by adding multiple layers of twists in the form of “modifiers”. The modifiers are voted in by players in the voting interface in game settings. There are a total of 4 phases, and the community will vote to decide which modifier is selected for which phase.
