The latest update of Pokemon TCG Pocket has been released lately, bringing forth several major updates along with fun events for an enjoyable gameplay experience. Players can now finally get rid of the Trading system that has been a nuisance since its launch. This article will guide you through all that has been updated as of late.

Removal of Trading System

Previously, players needed to vaporize the cards that they owned to obtain an in-game currency called Trade Tokens. These tokens could be used in the trading of cards but they received huge criticism due to the way they were earned. In the latest update, players will no longer need to destroy their duplicate cards as this function has been eliminated.

Trade Tokens have been replaced by “Shinedust” which can be obtained much more easily. Players will automatically earn Shinedust when they obtain duplicate cards that have already been registered in their Card Dex. Shinedust is required for trading cards of three-diamond, four-diamond, and 1-star rarity and since it is also required to buy flair, developers are looking to increase the amount of Shinedust obtained to make the trading easier. Shinedust could also be availed from other events but as of now, there is no news about that.

There are however no changes as to how one-diamond and two-diamond rarity cards are traded. The Trade Tokens owned by players will be converted into Shinedust eventually.

An additional feature allows the players to share cards that pique their interest in trading via the in-game trading functions. A major drawback to this update is that although you will have the trade tokens converted into Shinedust, there is no way to get the cards you threw to get the trading currency back. This needed update is also scheduled to be introduced into the game by Autumn.

Premium Pass

Introduced as a cost-effective alternative to buying individual packs, the premium pass is an exciting addition to the game. This premium pass can be bought at the price of €9.99 per month and it allows the players to open an extra card pack daily while also granting them access to special missions and exclusive customization items. The new players in the game will receive a 14-day free trial of this Premium Pass, providing them with the golden time of their beginning.

Event – Manaphy and Snorlax Wonder Pick

This wonderful event has been divided into two parts with the first part running from March 10th, 2025 to March 24th, 2025 and the second part commencing on March 17th, 2025 till March 24th, 2025. Both events introduce new Manaphy and Snorlax promo cards with other new shop items. Players can obtain the following exclusive accessories in both events by going to the limited-time event tab.

• Manaphy & Piplup Backdrop (costs Manaphy Event Shop Ticket x 3)
• Manaphy & Piplup Cover (costs Manaphy Event Shop Ticket x 3)

• Manaphy Card Back (costs Manaphy Event Shop Ticket x 5)
• Manaphy & Piplup Playmat (costs Manaphy Event Shop Ticket x 10)
• Volkner Profile Icon (costs Manaphy Event Shop Ticket x 2)

1-3 are available in the 1st part of this event whereas 4-7 are available in the 2nd part of the event.

How to Obtain These Tickets?

The Event Shop Tickets can be obtained by completing special event missions. After clearing the mission, you will be rewarded with these tickets which can be redeemed in the Event Tab for exclusive items. It is to be noted that these tickets will be deleted after the event ends so do not forget to redeem your rewards before the time runs out.

What missions are available?

Special missions have been added to the game to reward the players with tickets to exchange for rewards at the Event Shop. The time-limited missions available in the game are as follows:

• Collecting 1 Manaphy card grants you 1 Manaphy Event Shop Tickets
• Collecting 1 Snorlax card grants you 1 Manaphy Event Shop Tickets
• Wonder Picking 3 times grants you 2 Manaphy Event Shop Tickets
• Wonder Picking 4 times grants you 2 Manaphy Event Shop Tickets and 6 Trade Tokens
• Wonder Picking 5 times grants you 3 Manaphy Event Shop Tickets and 10 Trade Tokens
