Tower of God: New World – What Release of Season 2 Might Dictate for the Future
With the latest season of Tower of God live as we speak, many might wonder what Tower of God: New World holds for the future of the game. Season 2 has been making all the noises this summer with Crunchyroll doing massive marketing to push the anime among the top 10! In the latest episodes, we see Bam transform from the weakling he once was as he transitions to a more stoic approach, letting go of the cowardness within him. We also see an introduction to many new characters appearing in the anime such as Ja Wangnam, Hwaryun, and more.
New Characters are Expected to Be Added
Tower of God: New World has always been one step ahead of its anime counterpart, mostly because it’s much easier to introduce characters in video games compared to animating them and releasing complete adaptations. We have seen it with many games previously such as Seven Deadly Sins: Grand Cross, wherein The One Escanor and some new authentic characters were introduced way before the anime episodes were released. Netmarble has been notorious for their way of introducing hype characters, particularly releasing them with the onset of game events and celebrations instead of following the anime curvatures.
Talking about new characters, we already have the majority of the season 2 anime characters in Tower of God: New World. Hwaryun and her red mask version can already be seen in-game. On top of that, we even have the protagonist Baam, or Jue Viole Grace as the name he goes by now, already in the game as well. Players will be surprised to know how far the game has released characters, as much as Season 3 of the anime adaptation.
Speculations for New Events
At the time of writing, the developers at Tower of God: New World are keen on celebrating the game’s 1st anniversary. The anniversary is a full-fledged blast, offering all players with 2 free SSR+ characters just for logging in! One is Yihwa Yeon, one of the Yeon sisters that are quite high-ranking Regulars. The other one is Yirang Yeon, another high ranking regular and the sister of the former free hero. Players can summon the latter in an exclusive new banner. With the introduction of the sister duos, we can clearly see the game moving ahead in the story department compared to the anime counterpart.
Season 2 of Tower of God begins after a significant time skip from where the events in Season 1 ended. It finally introduces us to Jue Viole Grace, an emboldened Baam who has sworn to climb the summit and find the end to his misery. On the other hand, we see Khun who has formed a team of his own alongside Rachel to meet with his friend Baam once again. We also see Rachel plotting something but Khun already knows about her mischievous plans.
At the current time, we cannot expect some anime-linked events to be seen soon in Tower of God: New World, especially as the game is busy with celebrating its 1st anniversary right now!
Playing Tower of God: New World on a bigger screen of your PC or Laptop with BlueStacks without worrying about battery drainage and smooth gameplay, is highly recommended.
