Wuthering Waves is one of the premier story-oriented action RPG releasing in 2024. It boasts next-generational graphics and particle effects that make the combat more realistic and enchanting. Developed by the same developers who created Punishing: Gray Raven, a.k.a Kuro Games, the quality of the game is top-notch, rivalling that of AAA PC titles. A host of new characters and weapons are added to Wuthering Waves upon the release of Version 1.0. Let’s check out everything new that was added as part of Version 1.0 update. 

New Character Convene Banners

If you’ve reached Union level 8 or unlocked the “Convene” system, then you’re going to be eligible for recruiting new resonators that are added with new updates. In Version 1.0, players will be able to pull for new resonators on new exciting banners. These banners are as follows:

• Prevail the Lasting Night (22nd May – 13th June) – The 5-Star resonator Jiyan will be available at a higher drop rate than other 5-Star resonators. 4-Star resonators Danjin, Chixia, and Mortefi will also be available at a rate-up.
• When Thunder Pours (13th June – 2nd July) – The 5-Star resonator Yinlin will be available at a higher drop rate than other 5-Star resonators. 4-Star resonators Taoqi, Aalto, and Yuanwu will also be available at a rate-up.
• Tidal Chorus (Permanent Banner) – In this banner, players will get a 20% discount on their pulls. Additionally, players can only do 10 pulls at a time on this banner. Up to 50 summons can be made. You are guaranteed to receive a 5-Star resonator in 50 summons, out of the following choices: Encore, Jianxin, Lingyang, Verina, and Calcharo.

New Weapon Convene Banners

If you’ve reached Union level 8 or unlocked the “Convene” system, then you’re going to be eligible for recruiting new weapons that are added with new updates. In Version 1.0, players will be able to pull for new weapons on new exciting banners. These banners are as follows:

• Verdant Summit (22nd May – 13th June) – The 5-Star weapon Verdant Summit will be available at a higher drop rate than other 5-Star weapons. 4-Star weapons Dauntless Evernight, Variation, and Hollow Mirage will also be available at a rate-up.
• Stringmaster (13th June – 2nd July) – The 5-Star weapon Stringmaster will be available at a higher drop rate than other 5-Star weapons. 4-Star weapons Jinzhou Keeper, Cadenza, and Lunar Cutter will also be available at a rate-up.
• Weapon Convene Banner (Permanent Banner) – In this banner, players can use their accumulated Lustrous Tides to pull for weapons. You can select a targeted 5-Star weapon which will be guaranteed. The target weapon options are as follows: Emerald of Genesis, Lustrous Razar, Static Mist, Abyss Surges, and Cosmic Ripples.

Pioneer Podcast Event

With the release of Version 1.0, a new time-limited event titled as “Pioneer Podcast” can be seen live in-game from 22nd May 2024, all the way till 1st July, 2024. During the event, players can progress through the event stages and complete Podcast tasks to get juicy rewards. The event rewards players with usable weapons and gear sets from the Golden Eternal series. Players can get a weapon of their choice from the following options:

• 4-Star Autumnrace

• 4-Star Lumingloss

• 4-Star Thunderbolt

• 4-Star Goldenpalm

• 4-Star Augment

Some other juicy rewards that can be redeemed via playing the event are Jinzhou Records Sigil, Radiant Tides, Lustrous Tides, Gilded Ginkgo, and Astrites. The core requirement to unlock this event is Union Level 9. The core aim is to simply complete the Podcast missions and gain Podcast XP to earn these rewards. You can also purchase the premium part of the Podcast, called “Insider Channel” and “Connoisseur Channel”.
