De:Lithe Last Memories is an immersive real-time RPG that boasts strategic and tactical combat elements that will get you pumped up in no time! Following a post-apocalyptic timeline set in modern Tokyo where humans are on the brink of extinction, you as the head of the secret society need to train powerful cyborg Dolls that have the abilities to take out the infected Hollows that plague the city. In this beginner’s guide, we will be delving deep into the gameplay mechanics and providing some personalized tips on how to progress efficiently. Let’s start!

Understanding the Gameplay Mechanics

The gameplay mechanics of De:Lithe Last Memories are quite simple to learn but difficult to master. For starters, the gameplay happens in real-time and is action-based. Players will need to manually control their character and use each Doll’s abilities and basic attacks to help defeat the incoming mobs of enemies. Each combat stage is divided into sub-stage in different areas. These areas are connected by a locked door that only unlocks when you’ve taken out all the enemies in the zone. A handy small mini-map is located on the top right-hand side of the screen. Players can track their allies and enemies on the map. Green dots represent your allies, and the red dots represent the enemies.

Once you are done with all the sub-stages, the final door will grant you access to the Boss. The boss stage and monster are usually more difficult than the previous stages combined. Many of the bosses also have intricate mechanics that you need to read about and devise strategies to counter their push. You will get defeated when all the allies fall in battle. At the top of each of your combat Dolls will be a green bar. This represents their total remaining health. Once it reaches 0, they will fall off from battle and disappear. There’s also a specific timer running for each stage and if you’re not able to clear the stage within the time limit, you will fail.

For starters, players can create squads of up to 4 different Dolls. Each squad will have a total power level that depends on the stats of the Dolls. A higher power level means that you will be at an advantage on the mission and that you will be able to clear it easily. Recruiting strong Dolls is a great option if you have the currency saved up. We will talk more about it the next section.

The Battle System and Controls

Coming to the controls, they are quite intuitive and easy to grasp. All the controls are located on the bottom right-hand side of the screen. You are free to change the camera angle for either a more personalized vertical view or a 360 horizontal view. We would recommend the latter as it gives you a wider range of view to see from where the enemies are spawning. You have access to multiple abilities for each Doll that you can choose to upgrade when you find a Skill shards. These shards drop from boss fights and are used extensively to either boost abilities or overall stats.

You have the basic attacks button in the middle. Continuously tap it to execute specific combos of Dolls. In a semi-circle shape, you should see 4 distinct abilities. Each ability has a cooldown timer and takes up some SP to initiate. Dolls will gain SP as they use their basic attacks against enemies. Utilize the combos of abilities and basic attacks to trigger break effects and defeat your enemies.

The Gacha System

In De:Lithe Last Memories, there’s an extensive gacha system set in place to help players recruit new and powerful Dolls. Each Doll is given a rarity, based on which their performance alters. The higher the rarity of the Doll, the better they will perform, thanks to higher base stats and superior abilities. At the time of global launch, there exists 3 distinct banners:

  • Event Gacha – Players can get 2-4 star dolls by summoning in this banner. This banner features a certain doll as the rate-up character, which means if players manage to summon a 4-Star Doll, there’s a 50% chance of it being the rate-up doll. Players will need Logico or xGEEK to summon on this banner. A pity system that guarantees a 4-star hero in 90 summons is also available. These banners are temporary and usually have a time limit.
  • Premium Gacha – Players can get 2-4 star dolls by summoning on this banner. This banner is permanent and does not offer rate-up chances for any doll. Players will need Logico or xGEEK to summon on this banner. A pity system that guarantees a 4-star hero in 90 summons is also available. This banner is permanent and never goes away.
  • Rare Gacha – Players can get 1-2 star dolls by summoning on this banner.  Players will need Logico to summon on this banner.

Dolls

Dolls are the characters who participate in in-game battles in De:Lithe Last Memories. They are divided into fighting kinds, such as attackers and healers, each having their own attributes, preferred roles, and skills.  Dolls are further divided into classes based on their combat style: Striker, Mystic, Alchemist, Enchanter, Booster, Medic, and Guardian. Their star ratings range from one to six, and all dolls can be trained up to six stars. The maximum initial rarity obtained through NFT sales, gacha, engraved boxes, and so on is four stars.

Dolls can gain a variety of abilities as they move through the game’s dungeons and stages. These skills can be active, passive, or unique, and their acquisition is determined by the doll’s stage of development inside the mode. Skills having a zero probability of manifestation cannot be learned. Acquiring the same talent many times will raise the skill level.

Players can enjoy De:Lithe Last Memories even more on a bigger screen of their PC or Laptop with keyboard and mouse via BlueStacks for an elevated gameplay experience.
