Eternal Ember – Tips and Tricks to Enhance your Farming Experience
Eternal Ember is an Idle dungeon crawler, implementing many mechanics associated with old-school RPGs. The game features a vast array of features such as over 100+ collectible characters, multiple PvE/PvP game modes, a dark and hellish storyline, and a multitude of strategic battles to take part in along your journey to restore world order once again to this barren land. The developers are keen to expand the game further, adding more to the storyline, world expansion, and rare collectible heroes. Eternal Ember is available to be downloaded and installed as a free-to-play game on both the Google Play Store and iOS App Store.
In this article for Eternal Ember, we will be sharing some of the most wanted tips and tricks for the Idle dungeon crawler that we wished somebody had told us at the beginning of our journey. We have curated these tips from our own personal experiences along with the overall sentiment within the community as shared by the veterans of the game. We will explain each of the tips in detail. Make sure to implement them for an overall better progression experience.
Tips #1. Choose the Right Map
Choosing the right map when farming in Eternal Ember is the biggest pain point for many players. This is because the game itself does a poor job at explaining the types of mobs that spawn in different areas. Thankfully, the veterans on the official discord server were king enough to share these details:
- The 1st Map of the Zone has Physical/Non-Ranged mobs. They are much easier to farm but drop less experience and gold.
- The 2nd Map of the Zone incorporates Ranged mobs to the mix. They are a bit tougher to fight but drop better amount of experience and gold.
- The 3rd Map of the Zone has Boss monsters added on top all of the previous mobs. They are the ultimate checkpoint that players should aim to farm once they get strong enough.
Tip #2. Gearing the Right Way
Eternal Ember is an RPG that incorporates many of the old school elements such as gearing your champions the right way in order to maximize their stats. The gears come in different rarities themselves, making it harder for new players to max out their characters in the initial days. For example, Boots come in Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 or called the Special Gear rarity. The higher the level, the more stats they have and better quality of substats. You should always aim for saving your Special gears, no matter their rarity. Special Gears also have special attributes such as Attack Speed, Health Regeneration, Energy Regeneration, Damage Block, True Damage, and Life Steal.
Tip #3. Best Way to Deal with Bosses
As Eternal Ember is an Idle dungeon crawler, players will find it difficult to deal with bosses in the early levels. However, there’s a sweet way to deal with it as well. Do not waste your crucial health and energy potions to keep the heroes alive, instead let them die and only use the potions on Crusader type heroes. As most of the bosses like to get into melee range, make sure to prioritize on levelling the Physical and Close-range defense attributes first in the hero talent pages. Try to separate out the boss and do not crowd in front of him. This will leave your heroes more susceptible to taking AOE-targeted damage and dying fast.
Tip #4. Make Sure to get the Special Powers!
Each set of the equipment can provide your hero with Special Powers that can enhance the overall combat power of your account. Here are all the special powers:
- Curse (Provided by Rings) – When the hero dies, curse all enemy units, preventing them from casting skills for “X” seconds.
- Energy Break (Provided by Rings) – Burns “X” Energy of the enemy hero on each Normal Attack.
- Bramble (Provided by Rings) – Every time the hero is damaged by Normal Attacks and Skills, return “X” of the damage received to the attacker (not including the received True Damage).
- Vicious (Provided by Boots) – Grants a 100% chance on Normal Attack to deal a critical strike on all units with full health.
- Insight (Provided by Boots) – An “X” chance to be immune to damage from skills.
