- Summoning System Explained
- Currency System Explained
- Combat System Explained
- How to Make Souls Stronger?
- Missions and Rewards
Understanding the Summoning System
Eversoul is a strategic real-time RPG where players need to make formations consisting of different types of characters called “Souls” in the official in-game terminology. Players can acquire these Souls from different in-game activities, events, and through the summoning system. The Summoning system is by far the best and most consistent method of obtaining new Souls at a guaranteed rate. Akin to other gacha games, different Souls are available at different probabilities. Similarly, different types of Souls are available through different types of summoning banners. Players can use their owned and purchased summoning currencies to summon on these banners. Each of these summoning banners are different from the other. Currently, the main banners that a new player will see are as follows:
- Infinite Summoning Banner (1-time) – This type of gacha banner is used for summoning Common-Epic rarity Souls infinitely at the start of the game. This banner is specifically made for new players coming to the game and this banner will be closed once players have completed their summoning and chosen the rewards. Players can infinitely summon 10 Souls at a time, with each 10-summon guaranteeing players an Epic rarity Soul. Only a selected collection of Souls are available to be summoned through this banner. Players can only summon 1 Epic rarity soul per 10 summon.
- Pick-Up Summoning Banners – This type of gacha banner is used for summoning Common-Epic rarity souls. The featured soul will have a higher chance of being summoned if players are able to summon an Epic rarity soul. The pity for the rate-up Epic Soul is at 60 summons. Players can also get additional rewards as they summon on the banner through the pity mileage.
- Normal Summoning Banner – This type of gacha banner is used for summoning Common-Epic rarity souls. All souls currently available in the game excluding limited-time souls are available to be summoned through this banner. This summoning banner has no specific pity for a particular Soul but a 1 Epic Soul is guaranteed once every 30 summons made.
- Type Summoning Banner – This type of gacha banner is used for summoning Common-Epic rarity souls. All souls of a particular featured Type currently available in the game excluding limited-time souls are available to be summoned through this banner. Players can change the Type by either paying 300 Pyroxenes or simply by waiting for the type to automatically change.
- Friendship Summoning Banner – This type of gacha banner is used for summoning Common-Epic rarity souls. All souls currently available in the game excluding limited-time souls are available to be summoned through this banner.
We highly recommend that players use all of their Pyroxenes on the Pick-Up summoning banner as a new player as it generally offers the newest Souls added to the game. Further, we recommend players do their Infinite Banner summons after doing the pick-up summons to avoid getting duplicate souls. Although, getting duplicate Souls isn’t bad in Eversoul but it makes progression tough in the early game due to the lack of options. In Eversoul, the base rarity of the Soul matters the most when trying to summon them. In the system, the highest rarity of souls has the lowest probability of being summoned while the lowest rarity of souls has the highest probability of being summoned.
The rate of summoning all rarities of souls is as follows:
- Epic rarity Souls – 4% Probability of being summoned
- Rare rarity Souls – 46% Probability of being summoned
- Common rarity Souls – 54% Probability of being summoned
Players require different types of summoning currencies to summon on different summoning banners. The different currencies which are used during summons in the Summon system are:
- Everstones – Everstones is the currency that is used for summoning on the Pick-Up and Normal summoning banners. Players require 240 Everstones for a single summon or 2100 Everstones for 10 summons on the above-mentioned banners.
- Normal Summoning Ticket – Normal Summoning Ticket is the currency that is used for summoning on the Normal summoning banners.
- Type Summoning Ticket – Type Summoning Ticket is the currency that is used for summoning on the Type summoning banners.
Understanding The Currencies
The currencies of Eversoul are probably as confusing as the game can get for new players. Understanding their usage and their importance in the game is crucial as a beginner if you want to progress efficiently and effectively. We are going to keep the explanations very newbie friendly without using much jargon. You will get all of these currencies over time as you join the game and progress through the story mode. These currencies can be seen in the middle of the main menu and are as follows:
- Gold
- Everstones
- Mana Dust
Gold is one of the 3 main currencies in Eversoul. Gold is the major currency used for upgrading your souls as well as to purchase resources in the General market. The Gold Coin is issued by the Kingdom of Solrey. Players can use Gold majorly for upgrading their Souls in the Soul tab. The higher the level, the more the amount of Gold consumed. Players can get more Gold from various sources in the game such as Battlefront, Idle resources, and Dimensional Labyrinth. Players can also get some Gold when clearing story mode stages for the first time. Apart from that, players get tons of Idle Gold packs for different durations such as 2 hours, 4 hours, 8 hours, and 24 hours, in their backpack through different in-game events and activities.
Everstone is the premium currency of Eversoul and they are primarily used for summoning souls in the Summon system. 2 different types of Everstones can be collected by players – Free Everstones and Paid Everstones. The Free Everstones can be obtained by completing different in-game activities such as completing daily and weekly missions or by completing different events. Another way of getting Free Everstones is through the developer compensation mail or through pre-registration rewards if you are a new player. Players can get Paid Everstones only by recharging Everstones by spending their real-life money through microtransactions.
Mana Dust is one of the most abundantly available currencies in Eversoul. It is also one of the 2 major currencies used for upgrading your collected Souls alongside Gold. Players can use Mana Dust majorly for upgrading their Souls in the Soul tab. The higher the level, the more the amount of Mana Dust consumed. Players can get more Mana Dust from various sources in the game such as Battlefront, Idle resources, and Hall of Memories. Players can also get some Mana Dust when clearing story mode stages for the first time. Apart from that, players get tons of Idle Mana Dust packs for different durations such as 2 hours, 4 hours, 8 hours, and 24 hours, in their backpack through different in-game events and activities.
Understanding the Combat Mechanics of Eversoul
Eversoul is an Idle game but that does not mean that the game is devoid of any strategies. In fact, Eversoul claims to be a strategic RPG more so than an Idle game due to its complex combat mechanics that feature different formations and different elemental advantages that play out. In reality, the game is simpler than it is perceived. Firstly, we would encourage players to refer to a tier list for Eversoul to get a better understanding of the best souls in the game. Most of the combat mechanics and tips are provided well enough by the game itself in the initial tutorial.
Players are required to make a formation of 5 different Souls before starting any match in the preparation screen. In this preparation tab, players are also given a thorough look at the enemies they will be facing as well as the CP (Combat Power) recommendation. CP plays an important role to gauge how strong any team or an individual soul is in Eversoul.
The majority of the game is decided in the preparation phase itself where players can decide on which formation to make. Eversoul also has the classic rock-paper-scissor stylized element system in place where each type is stronger and weaker to another type in-game. All souls of a particular type. Hence, taking Souls that have an advantageous type will automatically result in higher victory chances. The in-game battles play out nearly automated with players only having control over the Souls ultimate abilities. Players can also take advantage of other QOL features in the game such as 3X Battle Speed, Skip Animations, and Auto Battle mode where the AI takes control of the Souls and uses their abilities according to their best use case.
Get Stronger Souls in Eversoul
Much of the game revolves around a ton of combat. Hence, a strong formation consisting of strong souls is going to be the best way of progressing fast in the game. Go to the Souls tab in order to view your collected souls.
In this section, players will find different ways to power up their hero. Here is a brief explanation of all the systems present in Eversoul to strengthen your heroes:
- Leveling Up
- Ascension
- Skills
- Keepsake
Leveling Up is singlehandedly the best way to increase the power and CP (Combat Power) of your souls in the game. Leveling Up directly induces a great increase in the base stats of the Soul regardless of the rarity of their rank. Players can increase the rank of their Souls up to their current maximum potential. For example, every soul at base grade can be upgraded to Level 100. This grade can be upgraded to increase the level cap but that will be discussed later. Players require 2 currencies to upgrade their Souls – Mana Dust, and Gold. The higher the level, the more of these resources will be required. For each breakthrough level at Level 20, 40, and so on, players will also require a 3rd currency called Mana Crystal to break through the level barrier of the Soul. Breaking through will also upgrade the skills of your souls.
Ascension can be considered the base rarity of any Soul in the game. As we previously mentioned, the base rarities play an important role in deciding the soul’s base stats as well as their maximum level cap. After Epic rarity, players can further increase the ascend their souls by feeding 2 similar graded souls into them in Ark. Simply go to the Ark menu in the home screen and go to the Ascend Souls section. Players can do the Ascension process either manually or automatically.
Skills of all souls can be upgraded as well to provide some better damage multipliers and improve their overall utility of them. As we previously mentioned, the skills of souls are upgraded automatically once you break through their levels.
Keepsakes in Eversoul refers to the equipment or gear that can be equipped to the Souls. Naturally, the stronger the keepsake, the more stats it will provide to the Soul. Keepsakes play a very important role in increasing the overall CP of your Soul. These Keepsakes can be obtained from different areas of the game and come in different qualities. Starting from common rarity to legendary rarity, these keepsakes can also be enhanced just like Souls. We would recommend equipping the correct main stat keepsake to the correct soul. For example, a DPS soul like Mephistopheles should be equipped with Attack% keepsakes to maximize her DPS output.
