All Classes in Flame of Valhalla

Much like we see in MMORPG games, Flame of Valhalla also has a class system in place. Each class is unique in their own way, boasting different types of passive and active abilities for players to deploy. One thing we need to mention, the game does a poor job at explaining about the pros and cons, or any differentiation between the classes. Well, do not fret, as we’ve got you covered. After experimenting with all the playable classes, we’ve come to certain conclusions regarding their playstyles. Firstly, let’s check out all the available classes:

  • Knight
  • Mage
  • Archer
  • Barbarian
  • Astrologer

Knight

Knights are one of the best tank type characters in Flame of Valhalla. They are melee ranged and can dish out a decent chunk of damage, thanks to their AOE-targeted abilities. Knights have a balanced set of stats, with equal distribution in Attack, Defense, Agility, Operation, and Control. These characters are best suited if you like to play more on the frontlines rather than sneakily in the backline. Knights can further specialize in 3 fields – Fury Warrior, Shield Vanguard, and Holy Knight

The first specialization is more suitable for players who prefer damage and agility. The second specialization is more suitable for players who like control and shielding in their ability kits. Lastly, the third specialization is more suitable for players who like to play like a pure tank with huge pools of HP and Defense. Overall, we feel the Knight class is best suited for new players.

Mage

Mage stands to be one of the most popular classes in Flame of Valhalla. They are mid-ranged characters that can deliver a ton of damage, thanks to their AOE-targeted abilities. Much like Knights, Mages also have a balanced set of stats, with equal distribution in Attack, Defense, Agility, Operation, and Control. Although, their Operation and Control stats are slightly more than Defense and Attack. These characters are best suited for players who like to remain in the backline and sneakily cast spells to control enemies.

Mages can further specialize in 3 fields – Ice Mage, Mad Arcanist, and Elemental Emissary. The first specialization is more suitable for players who prefer a balanced stat sheet. The second specialization is more suitable for players who like more agility and attack. Lastly, the third specialization is more suitable for players who like to play more aggressively, boasting high Defene and Agility. All in all, Mages seem to be a solid choice for DPS/Control.

Archer

Archer is the recommended class by the game itself. They are long-ranged agile characters that can deliver a ton of DPS, through both single target attacks and AOE-targeted attacks. Archers stat sheets are more skewed towards attack and agility, thanks to their high DPS playstyle. They have low Defense and HP, making them vulnerable to getting assassinated quickly in fights. Archers are recommended for players who have some knowledge about map awareness and can position themselves safely.

The second specialization is more suitable for players who prefer operation and control in their abilities. Lastly, the third specialization is more suitable for players who prefer more Attack and Defense. Archers can be summarized as one of the highest DPS characters in the game.

Barbarian

Barbarians are one of the more diverse classes in Flame of Valhalla. They are melee-ranged warriors that wield twin axes to slaughter their enemies. They can act as both tanks and warriors, depending on which specialization you prefer and how you build them. Barbarians boast naturally high Attack and Defense, making them a great choice for beginners. They also have decent HP pools, making them a good choice to be in the frontlines.

The second specialization is more suitable for players who like their character to be tanky and possess crowd-control abilities. Lastly, the third specialization is more suitable for players who prefer a well-rounded balanced stat sheet.

Astrologer

Astrologer is one of the best supportive type classes in Flame of Valhalla. They are long-ranged characters that can heal allies, buff allies, and debuff enemies. Depending on the playstyle, Astrologers can also be a good pseudo-damage dealer with high Attack and Agility. Usuallly, they have low Defense, making them vulnerable to getting assassinated quickly in fights. Astrologers are more recommended for veteran players who want to experiment with something unique.
