Path to Nowhere has just launched globally on 27th October 2022. It is available as a free-to-play title on both the Google Play Store and iOS App Store. Boasting over 1 million downloads on the first day itself, the game is touted to be one of the biggest releases for the mobile RPG genre in 2022. Combining the tactical and thrilling gameplay style of tower defense RPGs with a Lovecraftian horror theme, Path to Nowhere boasts over 70+ collectible characters, each with their own special usage and abilities. With such a wide roster of characters, called “Sinners” in the official in-game terminology, it is bound that many players will be searching for the strongest Sinners to acquire and add to their formation. Best Path to Nowhere Tier List
In this tier list for Path to Nowhere, we will be giving an in-depth and detailed overview of some of the best sinners available to be collected in-game. We have divided this tier list into 3 different tiers under which all the strongest and weakest sinners are placed that are available at the time of global launch. Keep in mind that this tier list is made at the start of the global launch and many changes might take place later on as the game rebalances its characters in future updates. Here is a short overview of all the tiers:
- S-Tier Sinners – The sinners included in this tier have some of the highest base stats and offer some of the best utility with their skills and abilities. These Sinners are self-sufficient and do not need the help of other sinners to activate their true potential. Generally, team compositions are made around them.
- A-Tier Sinners – The sinners included in this tier also have great base stats but average abilities that either require some setup to be useful or whose usefulness is locked to a particular game mode. Some of these sinners act as supporting members in multiple team compositions.
- B-Tier Sinners – The sinners included in this tier have average base stats and average base abilities. These dolls are not recommended to use after the early-mid game as their abilities and their use falls off drastically.
S Tier Sinners
Let’s take a look at some of the Sinners in this tier:
S Grade BAIYI
Baiyi is an S rarity sinner that is classified as an Umbra job user in-game. Baiyi’s basic attack Sinister is a double-hitting attack that deals different stages of damage to the enemies. The 1st and 2nd stage of this attack deal 65% of her Attack as damage to the targeted enemy. The 3rd stage of the attack is a triple-hitting quick slash that deals 105% of her attack as damage to the target. Baiyi’s special attack Wind Chaos states the following – “Bai Yi increases his speed to the limit, and the next 3 moves will cause physical damage equal to 200% of her attack and 1 core damage to all enemies in the cross area centered on the target square. Every time she moves through this effect, Bai Yi will gain a 15% crit rate increase for 10 seconds. This effect can be stacked.” Her 1st passive ability Rush Benefit states the following – “If Bai Yi hasn’t moved within 10 seconds, she will gain 1 layer of “Possible to Go” effect, and this effect can be stacked up to 2 layers. When moving in the state of “Ready to Go”, Bai Yi will gain an attack increase of 6% x “Ready to Go” stacks for 10 seconds.”. This buff is undispellable.
S Grade NOX
Nox is an S rarity sinner that is classified as a Fury job user in-game. Nox makes use of the greatsword weapon to deal with his basic attacks Obliterate. This attack is a quick slash dealing 90% of his Attack as physical damage to the target per segment. Nox’s special ability Touch of Despair states the following – “Nox unleashes the hidden power within his body, granting equal liberation to all. The normal attack becomes Grey Destroyer Sword Qi, swinging out the Ash Defeated Sword Qi to attack all enemies within the nine-square grid in front of you, causing physical damage equal to 158% of your own attack per segment, and cannot automatically recover energy for 20 seconds.” Nox’s 1st passive ability Erosion states as follows – “During the battle, every time an enemy dies, Nox gains an attack bonus of 0.6%, up to a maximum of 9%.”
S Grade LANGLEY
Langley is an S rarity sinner that is classified as a Reticle job user in-game. Langley makes use of a Pistol as her weapon. Her basic attack Decisive deal single targeted damage equal to 113% of her own Attack as physical damage per segment. Langley’s special skill Gunfire Amnesty states as follows – “Lan uses bullets to give “pardon” and fires 5 shots within the specified range. Each shot will cause physical damage equal to 180% of his own ATK to a single enemy, of which the first shot will cause 1 point of core damage.” Langley’s passive ability Causality does as follow – “When Langley deals damage to an enemy, it will add the Causality mark to it. When Langley’s own attack deals damage, she will deal additional physical damage equal to 35% of his own attack to all enemies marked with Causality.”
S Grade HAMEL
Hamel is an S rarity sinner that is classified as a Catalyst job user in-game. Hamel does not make use of any weapon and instead uses her own dances as her weapon. Her basic ability Requiem is a supportive ability that restores 16% of her own HP as the health of the lowest HP ally within range. Hamel’s special ability Phantom Dance states as follows – “Hamel tries her best to dance, increasing all the effects brought by “Dance” by 40% for 12 seconds, during which energy cannot be automatically recovered.”. Hamel’s 1st passive ability Endless Rotation does as follow – “After the battle starts, all “Dance” effects increase by 0.5% per second, up to 60 seconds; the affected area of ”Dance” becomes a diamond shape at 45 seconds and becomes the full field at 90 seconds.” Her 2nd passive ability Touch of Life states that allies that gain the Dance effect take 6% reduced damage from all sources.
S Grade ZOYA
Zoya is an S rarity sinner that is classified as a Fury job user in-game. Being trained in martial arts and mixed martial arts, Zoya makes use of her own fists as a weapon. Her basic attack Assault deals 83% of her own Attack as physical damage to deal single-targeted damage to the enemy per segment. Zoya’s special ability Legion states the following – “Zoya bursts out with all her power, inflicting physical damage equal to 500% of her own attack to the nine-square grid area centered on herself, fearing all enemies within the range, and then entering the state of Army Arrival. Legion Arrival: Change the attack stance, and sacrifice part of the attack speed to increase the basic attack damage coefficient and the number of attack segments, lasting 15 seconds, during which the energy cannot be automatically recovered.” Zoya’s 1st passive ability Supreme Force does as follows – Every third attack will deal additional true damage equal to 2% of the target’s current health. (The damage value does not exceed 30% of its own attack). This makes her one of the best sinners to take in boss fights.

S Grade CRACHE
Crache is an S rarity sinner that is classified as an Umbra job user in-game. Crache makes use of his shadow scythe to attack enemies. His basic attack Sinister deals 92% of his Attack as physical damage to enemies within 2 blocks in front of him. Crache’s special ability Shadow Hidde/ Rapid Blade Shadow states as follows – “Shadow Hide: Entering the Shadow Hide state, normal attacks and blocks cannot be performed at this time, and they cannot be selected by the enemy. When Crache moves or casts Rapid Blade Shadow, exit Shadow Hide. Rapid Assault Blade Shadow: Can be cast under the Shadow Hide state, causing physical damage equal to 400% of your own ATK and 1 core damage to enemies in a four-block range in front . Shadow Hide: For every 1 second, Crache gains a 5% increase in critical damage, up to a maximum of 60%.” Crache’s 1st passive ability Shadow Avatar reads as follows – “In the state of Shadow Hiding, a shadow is generated every 6 seconds, and each shadow will cause an additional 210% physical damage when Rapid Blade Shadow is released, and their are at most 2 shadows on the field at the same time. Every 10 seconds in the non-Shadow Hide state, a shadow will disappear.”’
S Grade DEMON
Demon is an S rarity sinner that is classified as an Endura job user in-game. Demon makes use of his Shield as a weapon. His basic attack Shield deals 110% of his own Attack as physical damage to enemies in a particular segment. Demon’s special ability Body As A Shield states the following – “Demon gets a shield of 22% of his maximum health, and then friendly confinement within the range get a shield of 35% of Demon’s total shield; the shield lasts for 12 seconds.”. Demon’s 1st passive ability Combat Continuation states that he gets Shield equal to 10% of his maximum health that lasts for a duration of 20 seconds and resets after that. His 2nd passive ability Never Give Up states that for every 20% of his health lost, the Shields received by Demon increases by 7% in efficiency. This effect is maximized when his Health drops to below 20%.
A Grade WENDY
Wendy is an A rarity sinner that is classified as a Fury job user in-game. Wendy makes use of her chainsaw as a weapon to deal damage to enemies. Her basic attack Rapid Cut deals 33% of her own Attack as physical damage to the enemy in front. Wendy’s special ability Funeral states the following – “Wendy swings her chainsaw frantically, dealing 5 times of physical damage equal to 150% of her own ATK to all enemies within the range.” Wendy’s 1st passive ability Speed Cut does as follow – “Every 10 seconds, Wendy’s next normal attack becomes single-cell area damage, causing 4 times of physical damage equal to 34% of her own attack.” Her 2nd passive ability Festival states that for every enemy present on the battlefield, she gains 5% increased damage, stacking up to a maximum of 6 times.
S Grade EIRENE
Eirene is an S rarity sinner that is classified as an Arcane job user in-game. Eirene uses her condensed stored energy to deal damage to enemies. Her basic attack Balance Theory deals 92% of her own Attack as magical damage to all enemies in a segment. Eirene’s special ability Contract Annihilation states the following – “Eirene releases the core of annihilation on the battlefield, and depending on the type of enemy target, it will cause different effects centered on the target.
No-target grid/no-core target: Summons a black hole in the nine-square grid, continuously causing 700% of its own attack magic damage and 50% slowdown to all enemies within the range. Unbroken core target: open and detonate a space crack in a five-square range, causing 2 times of spell damage equal to 250% of self-attack to all enemies within the range, with 1 point of core damage each time. The core target has been destroyed: A single-space annihilation turbulence is set off, dealing 900% of its own ATK magic damage to all enemies within the range.” Eirene’s 1st passive ability Behind the Scenes Player does as follows – “Whenever an allied unit casts Kill, the damage of Irina’s next cast of Annihilation Core is increased by 15%, and this effect can be stacked up to 2 times.”
B Tier Sinners

A Grade HECATE
Hecate is an A rarity sinner that is classified as an Arcane job user in-game. Hecate uses the power of Nightmare to deal damage to the enemies. Her basic attack Imagination deals 105% of her own Attack as magical damage to the enemy in a particular segment. Hecate’s special ability Lightless Mirror states the following – “Hecate unleashes the power of Nightmare, dealing a total of 630% of her own ATK as spell damage and 1 core damage to all enemies within a single cell range.” Hecate’s 1st passive ability Into the Night does as follow – “When Hecate and Nightmare deal damage, they will apply [Dream] to the enemy. Each layer of [Dream] increases the damage dealt by Hecate and Nightmare by 1%, stacking up to 10 layers.”
R Grade HELLA
Hella is an R rarity sinner that is classified as a Fury job user in-game. Hella makes use of her water pipe as a weapon to deal damage to enemies. Her basic attack Stick deals 113% of her own Attack as physical damage to enemies within a segment. Hella’s special ability Hot-Blooded Street states the following – “Hella no longer kept her hand and swung her weapon with all her strength. Cudgel turns into a two-hit combo and gains a 20% attack boost for 10 seconds, during which energy cannot be automatically recovered.” Hella’s 1st passive ability Slow Healing states that after taking no damage for 4 seconds, Hella recovers 4% of her maximum health over time. Hella’s 2nd passive ability Ultimate Self-Healing states that when her own MAX HP falls below 20%, she restores 20% of her health immediately. However, this effect can only be triggered once per battle.
R Grade EMP
EMP is an R rarity sinner that is classified as a Reticle job user in-game. EMP makes use of a recurve bow to deal damage to enemies. Her basic attack Electric Arrow deals damage to enemies in 3 stages. In Stages 1 and 2, her attacks deal 128% of her own Attack as physical damage to enemies. In Stage 3, EMP shoots 2 arrows that deal 85% of her Attack as physical damage to the enemy. EMP’s special ability is Ultimate Electromagnetic Arrow! which states the following – “Emp shows the true strength of the Syndicate Bow and Arrow Reaper, locking on the enemy with the lowest current HP percentage within a single cell range and shooting a deadly arrow, causing physical damage equal to 800% of his attack and 1 point of core damage. Ultimate Electromagnetic Arrow! can cause a critical strike, and the critical strike effect depends on Emp’s critical strike chance and critical strike damage bonus.” EMP’s 1st passive ability Overload states that whenever she kills any enemy on the battlefield, her attack permanently increases by 1%, stacking up to a maximum of 6 times.
