Tip #1. Search for Hidden Goodies

There are many hidden objects like chests and other goodies hiding right under in your sight. Keep a keen eye and lookout for these goodies as they will be super beneficial to you in either solving the stage or simply increasing your resource pool. 

While wandering in stages, keep an eye out for objects with a blue glow. A scanner-like glow indicates interactable items, as well as items that can be picked up for bonus resources. All mission switches and things will glow this way, but it’s worth continuing your research – especially in dubious places – since you’ll find coins, items, vaults, and, most importantly, Gems laying around.

Tip #2. Energy Management is Key!

At its core, Puzzle Adventure: Mystery Tale revolves around the resource known as Energy. The judicious usage of Energy is what differentiates a beginner from an expert. You get ample amount of Energy as a new player starting your adventures, especially when you level up. However, this resource will soon be quite scarce for you if you do not manage it properly. For starters, remember that every move you make in the game costs some amount of Energy. Be it interacting with any object, or pushing/pulling any object. Heck, even movements can use Energy. 

The game artificially limits your progression by Energy. As your level increases, so does you energy cap. Plus, you get full energy every time you level up. Hence, do not let the Energy stockpile and overflow as it will not regenerate. Additionally, focus on upgrading important buildings that produce energy or increase its rate of production. These buildings include the likes of Energy Fountain, Laboratory, and Capacity Factory.

Tip #3. Try to Find Artefacts

Artefacts are some of the best resources you can find in the game. Though they are tricky to find, you can get some ideas on how to obtain them via the Museum. This place also has a detailed list of all the Artefacts and their locations in each stage. Keep in mind, these powerful objects do not play a direct role in the game but they can be cashed out to make you small fortunes. Many Artefacts are divided into several components, and each component is usually located in different stages. Players will then need to craft it as a whole. 

The Necronomicon Page is most likely the first artefact you will find components for and craft. The first component of the Necronomicon Page can be found in the Crystal Trail. You’ll need to cut grass and bricks to find a side passage where the artifact will be placed on a pedestal. The second half is located in the Basilisk’s Lair, which is hidden in plain sight on the left side of the first room.                

Tip #4. Upgrading Buildings

Ever feel that your resources are abysmally low even after you’ve played all the right moves? Well, it’s most likely because you have not focused on upgrading buildings. Yes, buildings can also be upgraded apart from unlocking them. The game allows players to get more resources as they upgrade their buildings. Additionally, several buildings also increase their efficiency or add new functionality to them when upgraded. Every upgrade costs a ton of Coins, so ensure you’re backed up on that. 

Tip #5. Watch Advertisements

Yes, this tip might sound annoying and cheesy but it definitely makes a huge impact on your progression. See, many of the rewards you get in Puzzle Adventure: Mystery Tale are one-off. This means that you won’t be able to get them again. Many of these rewards include premium currencies such as Gems and Pink Shards. As valuable as they are, getting them as a free-to-player can be a big task and often takes months.
