Sword of Convallaria is an upcoming turn-based RPG that is bound to entice fans who love traditional JRPGs. The game boasts a variety of characters, each equipped with powerful active and passive abilities. As per the last closed beta test, there are over 40+ heroes to collect and choose from. With such a wide variety of choices, it’s imperative to know about the strongest ones. In this tier list, we have meticulously judged each character and placed them in specific tiers according to their base rarity, abilities, and general usefulness.

S Tier Heroes

Gloria

Gloria is a legend grade hero that is classified as a Defender. Gloria is flexible, has two skill sets, has comprehensive offensive means, has a knockback skill, and has many AOE damage (normal attack AOE!). The core skill can be unlocked at level 15, restraining the Destroyer. The personality provides a high defense bonus for her, and her own skill set is well self-consistent, without the problem of getting stuck. 

Col

Col is a legend grade hero that is classified as a Seeker type. Cole has the highest mobility in the game, and his personality provides him with a second move (three-star, five-star qualitative change), and combined with tactics, he can move three times in one round. His personality, aura, and passive skills provide high attack crit, and some skill attacks ignore support. His own skills are highly self-consistent, making him the ceiling of the assassin mechanism in the current version, and a human rights character in the development and arena.

Inanna

Inanna is a legend grade hero that is classified as a Watcher type. Inanna is very versatile. Her core skill, the Princess’ Prayer, can be unlocked at the beginning, providing a unique reaction mechanism and damage-increasing effect. Both single-target and group healing can dispel the debuffs of friendly forces, and the personality can passively heal and buff. 

The Princess’s guards summoned by the personality or skills can block positions and block attacks, which is very functional. After unlocking the fleeing princess, the operability can be improved. After using it, it is similar to obtaining full-map healing, which has a miraculous effect in some maps.

Samantha

Samantha is a legend grade hero that is classified as a Watcher type. Samantha has a weak physique and stands at the back, which is generally a safe position. The Watcher profession is not restrained, and has good defense against the Destroyer. She has high magic resistance and good defense against magic damage. Devout Faith (Reaction) gives her two chances to avoid death (very easy to trigger), which greatly improves her survivability. Sanctuary can provide injury avoidance, and in some maps in the later stage, you can take shelter to further improve own defense ability.

Magnus

Magnus is a legend grade hero that is classified as a Defender type. As a tank character, Magnus’ core skills are unlocked early, and he is also very good at attacking. His personality comes with reducing enemy attack and defense, and additional damage when attacking. He has a high-multiplier mountain collapse attack at the beginning, and the damage is explosive when combined with the winning battle cry. The blood-coughing giant axe (reaction) comes with a counterattack. The huge swing (normal attack) causes large-scale AOE damage, which feels very easy to use.

Maitha

Maitha is a legend grade hero that is classified as a Defender type. As a defensive character, Maitha’s offensive performance is quite satisfactory. Leg Slam and Maitha Charge can both provide knockback skills, and Block Counterattack (Reaction) can also provide a little output. Maitha lacks AOE ability and can never take on the role of the team’s main output.

Beryl

Beryl is a legend grade hero that is classified as a Destroyer type. Beryl is the only magic damage output character in the game. She has 25% magic attack, strong panel attributes, affinity with crystal energy, energy recovery, a wide attack range, and explosive penetration of single-target damage (can break dodge). Beryl’s AOE skills are slightly inferior to single-target abilities but the fire wall skill is very practical. Her damage is stable against three-color characters. She is a must-have character for certain stages.

Xavier

Xavier is a legend grade hero that is classified as a Breaker type. As a breaker, Xavier has highly self-coordinated skills, and his personality and skills are all designed for chaos. After unlocking the Vanguard Camp (Reaction) at level 35, Xavier’s start speed jumps to the first place, and his skill points are fully maxed out, so he can be the first to take action. Xavier’s personality trait allows him a large amount of attacks to himself when there are many enemies around him. With many AOE skills and personality collateral damage, he can deal high AOE damage while applying various debuffs.

Garcia

Garcia is a legend grade hero that is classified as a Seeker type. Garcia is flexible in movement, and has the best personality in the game. She provides a huge attack bonus to herself at 3-stars and 5-stars, respectively. Her core skills are unlocked early, and her skills are perfect and self-consistent. There is no skill vacuum period. After the full star, the attack comes with 40% armor penetration and ignores blocking, and the damage is the best in the game. The spinning blade recovers energy after defeating, the taste of blood provides damage, and the deadly harvest (reaction) can stably make up for the enemy.

LilyWill

LilyWill is a legend grade hero that is classified as a Seeker type. As a noble light bow user, Lily is not easy to use in the early stage because she cannot get the core skills. Therefore, she uses “Divine Grace” before level 55, but once the skills are formed in the later stage, LilyWill becomes the number one archer! Lily’s direct attack is very potent (direct attack can ignore obstacles). 

The ultimate skill [Wind Break] is also a direct attack, and it can get the bonus of [Ride the Wind]. The range is actually 5 squares, and the arm is very long. The height difference of [Wind Break] is 8 squares up and down, and the high ground is like flat ground. The passive [Divine Shooting] can convert flat shots into direct shots and provide a stable benefit of 12% attack. With the addition of layers of critical hits, Lily’s normal attacks can also be powerful and very strong!

B Tier Heroes

Angel

Angel is an epic grade hero that is classified as a Watcher type. If you’re having no healer type watcher in the team, then Angel can be a good fix. Although there is no special mechanism, the basic functions of dispelling and stacking buffs are all available. She has everything a watcher should have. The passive of [Ascetic] can also solve the problem of insufficient energy very well, and can be used as a lower-level substitute for Inanna.

Tempest

Tempest is an epic grade hero that is classified as a Breaker type. Tempest is a great defensive attacker which means he gets a good amount of use with both defense and attack. His personality trait states that he gets Wind Armor and Windfury buffs. The former grants him 20% defense and activates when he attacks an enemy. The latter grants him 10% attack and activates when he gets attacked. 

Suppression

Suppression is an epic grade hero that is classified as a Defender type. He’s quite strong as a standalone defender for your team. His passive is 3-grid infinite preemptive counterattack. No cooldown required to protect teammates. He also recovers 40% of his health, clears 3 buffs, and adds 40% double resistance. He has his own aura, 24% damage reduction, and can break defense or restore energy with a flat attack. He is very good at resisting damage, and the template for counterattack looks good too.
