How to Increase Your BP in The Witch: Rebirth
The one thing that players always see when they play The Witch: Rebirth is the power rating of their characters which is labeled as BP. In this game, BP is the average value of your character’s numerical strength in terms of everything they currently have equipped. This means that characters with higher BP values are naturally stronger and can clear more difficult content in the game as well as be able to rank higher in the arena because they can defeat more powerful opponents.
The Witch: Rebirth isn’t the only game that uses power counters like this to determine the strength of a character because even the most traditional MMORPGs use similar terms like Item Level or Combat Power. This value is extremely important and isn’t just used simply for the sake of flexing on other players. We’ve explained the importance of BP more in-depth in our Beginner’s Guide so check that out if you haven’t already. For now, let’s take a look at different ways to raise your BP in this game.
Table of Contents
Gearing Up
The most traditional method of increasing your BP in any RPG is to equip more powerful weapons, armor pieces, and accessories. Your character’s gear is the biggest source of BP in The Witch: Rebirth so the ultimate goal is to always get more powerful equipment in the game as you progress through the main story. Eventually, you’ll reach the point where you’ll need to start grinding random bosses or dungeons just to get the perfect items for the character you’re currently playing.
Gearing is probably one of the hardest things to do in this game, especially if you’re an F2P user. Patience and persistence is the most important things to have when trying to gear your character with the best equipment possible. You’ll also want to start crafting new gear for your character as this mechanic has better BP values as compared to random drops. It’s important for the player to constantly try to get new gear because even the ones you won’t be using are still useful in raising your character’s BP.
Upgrading Skills
Upgrading skills is probably one of the most underrated things to do in any video game. Most players solely focus on getting more powerful equipment to raise their raw stat values and make their character overpowered. However, stats aren’t the only way to make your character more powerful because modifiers in your skills and abilities also increase as they are leveled up, making the contribution of your stats even more efficient when you get to actual combat scenarios.
The game allows the player to upgrade their skills using gold as the primary currency. Each level upgrade is capped according to your character’s current level so it’s a good idea to start grinding EXP by doing quests and defeating various enemies every day. You don’t have to choose which skills you want to upgrade first because the game doesn’t really give you any choice since you’ll be given new upgrade options at every level. The only issue you might encounter is not having enough gold to pay for skill upgrades.
Leveling Up
Leveling up is probably the most obvious way to increase your BP in The Witch: Rebirth and there’s probably no need to bring this up but we’ll talk about it anyway. Leveling up gives your character minor stat boosts, which contributes to the increase in your character’s BP. Leveling up only increases your BP by a small amount every time you rank up but it’s still a relevant amount considering that it’s essentially a free source of BP that you get for doing other tasks in the game.
A good tip that’s related to this is to incentivize players to level up quickly. Aside from the increase in BP, there are other perks to leveling up as fast as you can because it allows you to unlock new content and be able to upgrade other stuff that also contributes to your power rating. Luckily, there are many ways to level up quickly in this game so as long as you’re playing the game actively, you’ll always find yourself getting some quick levels just by doing want you want.
Mounts & Pets
Companions in The Witch: Rebirth also act like additional gear for your character. Mounts and pets can be upgraded in the game and players can get better-quality companions through a variety of methods. The most common method to get powerful companions is to spend real money and purchase special deals in the game. However, F2P users aren’t completely cut off from being able to get powerful companions in the game because they give out special currencies and allow the player to grind for these items.
Remember that higher-quality companions naturally give higher BP since their stats are designed to be enticing for people who are looking to compete with the best and be willing to shell out resources to make that happen. For F2P users, we recommend simply upgrading the pets that you currently have and making sure that you are farming the materials needed to make them more powerful. Meanwhile, you also need to earn enough premium currency to attempt to get better companions.
Cosmetic Items
Cosmetic items are probably the least favored way of getting BP and are mostly only done to give your character a more aesthetically pleasing design for other players to admire. However, the game does give your character a relevant amount of BP by activating outfits that you can purchase in the shop. Of course, you’ll need to use real money to buy these cosmetic items since they are often only available during certain events.
Unfortunately for F2P users, there really isn’t any way to work around getting outfits for your character that can have a significant effect on your BP. This mechanic might seem like a deal-breaker but it’s not really too much of an advantage for premium users because the BP that characters get from these outfits isn’t all too high. It’s definitely possible for an F2P user to outvalue a premium user in terms of BP if they are dedicated enough to grind out the game.
