See imperial leaders and conquerors such as Lu Bu, Guan Yu, Zang Zhe, and many more in a modern avatar, equipped with nuclear missiles and bazookas. While the game has more than 100+ heroes, it’s imperative to know that only a handful of teams are in meta. This guide see’s some of the best team compositions players can create and use.

Team #1. All Damage Team 

This team uses the following heroes:

• Lu Bu

• Diao Chan

• Zhang Liao

• Cao Cao

• Guan Yu

• Zhang He

Destroy your adversaries as much as you like with tons of physical AoE damage on top of single-target magic support. This combo is feasible thanks to the synergy between Lu Bu and Diao Chan, which raises your overall ATK by 15%. Furthermore, Lu Bu’s skill, Stalwart Rider, will strike all opponents for 90% physical damage and an 8% critical hit rate. If you deploy Diao Chan, she will be able to cast her Moonlit Butterfly spell, which prohibits foes from taking any action. 

If you’re up against a boss, I’d prioritize Zhang Liao’s massive single-target strike and Warfare Turmoil talent. Combine this strike with Cao Cao’s Heaven’s Will to boost your Rage and deal a tremendous magic blow to the enemy, removing any resistance. If that isn’t enough, add Guan Yu’s Dragon Crescent attack, which does 360% physical damage to a single target.

Team #2. Buff/Debuff Team 

This team uses the following heroes:

• Guo Jia

• Sima Yi

• Hua Tuo

• Dong Zhuo

• Zhao Yun

• Ma Chao

Being able to deal a lot of damage is excellent, but the effectiveness of such a tactic is also heavily influenced by how weak your adversaries are and how strong your allies are. This squad depends on the combination of Guo Jia’s debuffs and Sima Yi’s poison effect. Both deliver physical and magical damage, while Guo Jia applies one of four debuffs from her Peculiar Scheme skill: hit rate -15%, damage dealt -7%, damage absorbed +7%, and poison. If either of these debuffs hits adversaries, they’re in for a rough time.

This squad also requires a lot of healing power, which Hua Tuo provides in the form of his Healing Miracle skill, which is a powerful healing spell. If you deploy her with Dong Zhuo, a tank with a tremendous physical attack, he will also earn a Grave Extravagance shield.

Team #3. Meta Team 

This team uses the following heroes:

• Zhang He

• Cao Cao

• Zhang Liao

• Sima Yi

• Guo Jia

• Liu Shan

This team composition allows you to destroy the enemies in a few turns. Zhang He is going to be the primary damage dealer and can cast powerful AOE targeted spells on the backline. After he does, he will follow up with a basic attack to finish off any low health targets. Cao Cao is a supportive AOE damage dealer that can charge up his rage to deal even higher damage. Zhang Liao is a single target PvE damage god that deals up to 400% increased damage with basic attacks.

Sima Yi is an amazing debuffer that can make use of Poison debuffs to decrease enemy MAX HP each turn. You will also have free access to more back-line damage with him. Guo Jia is another supportive debuffer that deals AOE damage on top of inflicting random debuffs on all enemies. 

Team #4. The War Team 

This team uses the following heroes:

• Jia Xu

• Dong Zhuo

• Lu Bu

• Zuo Ci

• Gongsun Zan

• Yuan Shao

As the name itself implies, this team only consists of War faction heroes. Jia Xu is an amazing magical AOE damage dealer that can also put the aggressive debuff on enemies. This debuff allows him to steal any rage they obtain. Dong Zhuo is going to be the primary tank for the team as his special ability Grave Extravagance allows him to get a fat shield equal to 70% of max HP. Lu Bu will be the primary AOE damage dealer that deals physical damage to all enemies and then follows up with a basic attack.

This squad also has Zuo Ci to remove any pesky debuffs that you might get inflicted in battle. Gongsun Zan is a decent single target damage dealer that only targets the front rows. Yuan Shao will be able to mark all enemies in a column, enabling them to take increased damage from all sources.
